Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an amazing nights sleep but unfortunately breakfast was poor. No cereal options, our eggs were hard. Bacon fatty!

Very very dated hotel. Much worse than photos show. Staff however friendly and helpful but did not compensate for the general run down appearance.

The property was over and above what i expected for the price, the hotel has every amenitie on the doorstep it was very clean and fresh the room was very comfortable and quiet even though it is on the main street ,the breakfast was lovely the staf were so polite and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The colour scheme is quite 'urban' and dark. It has recently been refurbished, very eclectic but clean.

Worst bed I have ever slept on!

It hurts me to write this as I am not one to be overly critical of a hotel but the bed in this hotel nearly cost me and one other in my group the opportunity to play a bucket list golf course and the centerpiece in my entire golf trip. It was simply the worst hotel bed I have ever slept on (basically the support of a kids mattress). If it was an economy hotel that was <$100 a night I would get what we paid for but it was almost $200! The rest of the experience was pleasant. The staff was wonderful , location great, but hotel really run down and the beds atrocious. To ownership, please reinvest in your property. Newcastle needs another option to the Slieve Donald, your employees work hard for you and deserve to represent a better product.

I did not like the orange light shades in the bedroom very out dated, and could not open windows, did ask for someone to open them but no joy there, The best thing going for yous is the staff very nice and friendly 🤔

Had to stand at reception for about 45 minutes waiting to be checked out.. ended up having to go and look for someone. We found a cleaner who was a lovely woman, and helped us, but we shouldn’t have had to wait! Also security payment taken from my account before arriving, is still pending even though we checked out 2 days ago. However good location, clean and comfortable!

Central location with great staff

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was a bother. Might be worth noting that at weekends there is live music in a bar beneath the hotel so don’t expect getting an early night. Staff were very friendly, relaxed and helpful. Will certainly return. Great central location.

Friendly Staff made for a great overnight stay

The room was very large, with nice city view and fine amenities (nothing outstanding). The staff, however, was extremely friendly and helpful - showing me right to my room, giving advice on eating spots for late at night, and travel ideas for the next day. Their over-the-top friendliness makes this place a keeper!
