Historic building in a good location for exploring Marigny and Bywater, as well as the quarter. The biggest plus here is the staff, who were all so friendly and helpful! We had a large one bedroom suite with a huge walk-in closet. It had a big comfortable sofa and a leftover kitchenette with a little sink. Given the setup, it would have been nice to have a microwave. Bathroom was remodeled and clean. WiFi and heating/cooling worked well. Complementary drinking water and coffee in the morning. (But check out the excellent coffee shop on the corner!) Furnishings were a bit worn, and the walls were thin, but all in all, a comfortable stay. I’d go back.

This was our 2nd stay at this property. It is in a quiet part of the French Quarter, but still easy to access all the things to do. The staff is warm and welcoming. The hotel is clean and feels very safe with so many cute little restaurants within a few blocks.

Lots of character at this hotel, genuine French Quarter property, romantic and all around wonderful property. If you want to experience old New Orleans this is the place. Staff is friendly and helpful, outdoor pool is private and secluded from street view. Wi-Fi works well. Well within walking distance of attractions, sights, tours and wonderful dining.

Our first floor lodging was great. This was our 2nd visit over the years and this was a nicer room than last time. The staff was helpful. Not much for amenities but adequate. Great location. Will book again if in NOLA.

Beautiful old hotel in the French Quarter. Lots of charm, character and very romantic. Staff super friendly and helpful. Rebecca at the front desk is the best , genuine , concerned that your stay is great, she was always smiling, gave us great tips for dining and things to do, enjoyed chatting with her. Lovely outdoor pool and surrounding area unfortunately was too cold for us to use. Complimentary coffee downstairs in the morning, a full service liquor bar is coming soon. Wi-Fi worked well. On premise parking is available, never moved our car, everything within walking distance.

Great location, clean room with comfy bed and balcony was a great addition. Our room faced the parking lot and the surrounding area was a little noisy at night. I would stay again though and request a room not facing the parking lot.

Communication and staff were all amazing. Located in a great area short walk to almost anywhere. Really loved that we were able to check our bags until our room was ready and store them there after we checked out, this allowed us to enjoy every minute of our vacation until it was time to say goodbye. Building is beautiful, does need a little work to make it look more inviting and cozier. The pool and yard area need some heat and some clean up it would be much more enjoyable to spend time out there. The beds, pillows and blankets were amazing! Bottom line is I would recommend this place and will return. Thank you again for having us.

The property is old and fairly well maintained. The area was quiet. Close to many things but, far enough from the craziness. There’s a catholic museum in the other corner of the street that you should visit before or after going to the cathedral. Regarding the rooms, we had a mini fridge but, there was no microwave. However, there is one downstairs in the coffee area next to the pool. I was happy with my stay and the staff was really nice.

Le Richelieu is a very nice, clean and updated historical building located within walking distance to most everything. That said, it is distanced just far enough from the noisy part of the quarter to afford you a quiet place to sleep.

Great location. Right in the middle between the French quarter shops and restaurants and Frenchman Street but just far enough removed that it's quiet at night. We walked everywhere, only took an Uber to and from airport.
