This accommodation is more like renting a room in a fairly nice boarding house. Really no service, which surprised us especially given the cost. When we first entered there was no “hello” or help from the first deck but only a weary sounding “check in?” Also little things missing that a traveler would expect like a luggage rack or just somewhere to place or unpack a suitcase other than the floor.

This is a fun unique stay in a good location. It was easy to walk to many areas of New Orleans. We felt safe and although there is sometimes noise it is amazing how quiet it can be with Bourbon St not too far away. We had a great fun king two floor King suite and the bed was super comfortable. Everyone who worked the front desk was nice. Would stay there again!

Pros: very large apartment type unit! We were two people, but could’ve easily added 2-4 more. It was very convenient location in French Quarter. A little bit of street noise, but I’m guessing less than other streets. Friendly, available staff. The bed was pretty comfortable. Cons: there is no elevator and some rooms are on the third floor (ours was) and shower water pressure was extremely low. This was fine for us, could be hard for others.

I liked how beautifully restored the bldg was. The bedding and pillows were very tired and needed to be replaced. My friend has mobility issues and had to carry her luggage up the stairs without any assistance. We were told there wasnt any help and we could look at the room, if we didnt like it we could go elsewhere. I found the receptionist on arrival very rude and unaccomadating. We wont be back.

I'm sorry you were not happy with your suite. We have several different floorplans. When we have availability we always upgrade our guests to a suite that better suits their needs. I believe this is what the front desk attendant was trying to communicate to you. Whenever possible we always upgrade our guest to the best suite available.

My son and I really loved our visit to NoLa and our stay at Grenoble House. The room was well appointed, spacious and loved that it had a full kitchen! Loved the hot tub, as well! The location was also superb: close to the action, but quiet evenings. Have already shared this property's info with friends who have interest in touring NoLa!

Grenoble is Great!
Grenoble House is our favorite go to spot in the French Quarter! The rooms are beautifully decorated,quiet and comfortable.The kitchen is definitely a plus! The front desk workers are always accommodating and awesome! It’s also a very close and convenient walk to everything in the French Quarter.We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit New Orleans!

Thoughts on Grenoble House
Grenoble House is New Orleans best kept secret. A stone’s throw from Bourbon Street it is an oasis of calm and peace when you need a break from all that jazz. Front of house staff Champagne and the two James’ are very helpful and knowledgeable in relation to places to eat and interesting activities not to mention a launderette (aka laundromat!) when needed! Thanks guys

Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and close to Bourban street. There are no elevators. Our room had a winding stair case to the bedroom that is the only thing i didn't like. I would stay here again on the main level with a room that does not have stairs.

Excellent experience at this hotel! The rooms were big, its location is amazing, yet you hear NO sounds from Bourbon Street. The staff is amazing and the pool area is great too. This is a 10/10 must stay at!

Unique property with small pool and warm jacuzzi. The 3 flights of stairs were a workout, but enjoyed the sitting area in front of the door, the large rooms on the 1st floor, nice sitting and eating areas, very comfortable beds...more than expected. Staff very welcoming upon arrival and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

The room was quaint and quirky and fitting for the French Quarter. Even though our room was right on Dauphine, it was still quiet. The towels were thick and clean and the mattress was comfortable. We loved the courtyard and pool. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that housekeeping only came twice during our week long stay. We did track someone down to get fresh towels, but it would have been nice to have the kitchen garbage emptied each day.

Cool small hotel, location can’t be beat. Close enough to be on Bourbon with a block and a half walk. Far enough to sleep without hearing Bourbon Street if you need a night off. Secure, someone is always at the front desk to buzz you in after hours. Pool was too cold to use in October, but the outdoor hot tub was great for a couple people and available 24/7. Such a great find. Pool area is small but feels private and I thought it was much better than the pictures showed. I didn’t have a car so I can’t speak to that, no need to with this location.

Awesome digs for the price.
This is a no frills accommodation. Ground level units are nice but you can hear every move of the guests in the unit above you. The pool and hot tub are very nice. The unit is very clean and an outstanding value. I would absolutely stay here again.

We loved this hotel and this will be our first choice next time we are in NOLA. It is a historic property (old) but clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent throughout our stay. You cannot beat the location as it's close to everything but quiet when you are inside the hotel. Good beds, wonderful to have a kitchen, enjoyed the pool on a hot day.

The property was beautiful it had an old antique feel. The doors are a little small to get through u have to squeeze through. The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. Very close to bourbon street and we didn’t hear any noise during our stay from outside.

We got the 2 bedroom/2 bath suite, #201. It was my wife and daughter. Having 2 bedrooms is the way to go if you have a kid or 2 with you. We were all able to relax in the family room and had some cold beverages in the refrigerator. The furnishings are a bit dated, but that added to the ambiance. Bed, Showers, bathroom, kitchen all very clean and everything functioned perfectly. The front desk folks are great and get to know you. Champagne was the best!! Very nice and gave us some good places to go for food and entertainment. Will definitely consider staying her again, but not in August.

Stayed with my mom (in her 80s) in May 2023. We were in the double queen room on the 2nd floor. Staff, especially Champagne, were very helpful. Champagne helped when we checked in and took my mom’s suitcase upstairs. Our room was quite nice..it is good to have a suite with kitchen and sitting area in addition to a bedroom. My mom made coffee each morning..they kept resupplying it, along with water bottles. Good job in cleaning the rooms and making beds each day. It is a little tight getting around in the room with the 2 beds. It wasn’t ideal for my mom to walk up and down 2 flights stairs all the time but she was more than capable. There are lots of little steps and roses..at least for where we were walking. it’s easy to get tripped up and I’d recommend a little more lighting or reflective strips in these areas. Looking at older reviews, I had thought there was a simple continental breakfast still available (fruit and pastry) but they no longer have that. That was fine for us since New Orleans has lots of delicious breakfast and brunch options. We loved our stay at in New Orleans and would choose Grenoble House again

I had a very short but comfortable stay, other than a few minor issues in the room (broken towel rod, loose toilet seat, sliding door off track, unsafe balcony - thanks to Hurricane Ira!) it was very well appointed with everything you would expect. Most importantly, the bed was SUPER comfy! I’m trying to find some of those pillow for myself! Champagne (the man) was very helpful at the front desk!
