The stay was satisfactory overall. The staff were polite and the room was generally clean. However, several issues affected the experience: the hair dryer didn’t work, a few electrical outlets were nonfunctional, and the sink handle was loose. With improvements to these amenities, the stay would have been much better.
There was a lot of construction, the staff was very friendly.

Very cool room on the corner with great views of the ocean and New Haven! Very nice staff! The hotel is close to everything in New Haven as well as being right off the highway.
had previously heard positive remarks about La Quinta Inn; however, my recent experience was quite the opposite. Upon arrival, I was immediately struck by the presence of several individuals whose behavior I found unsettling, both outside the main entrance and within the lobby area.
While the front desk representative was helpful and the check-in process was efficient, I was not provided with essential information such as the location of elevators or other amenities. As I proceeded to my room, 824, I observed that the hallways and elevator areas were not maintained to an acceptable standard of cleanliness.
Upon entering my assigned room, I was dismayed to find that it bore no resemblance to the images presented on your website at the time of my booking. Further inspection revealed numerous deficiencies, leading me to conclude that the room's condition was unsatisfactory.
I would be pleased to provide pictures evidence to support my observations.

Hotel is under renovation, so much lee-way must be given. The hotel was clean as it possibly could be under the current circumstances. This bussiness should NOT have been open for business while this major upgrade was being completed.

We arrived at 8:30p and no one was at he front desk for 15 min. Renovations going on. Front desk guy showed up. Not real nice or apologetic for not being there. Next morning front desk people were good.rooms are dated but clean. Bathroom sink big crack down middle.

I understand the hotel is under construction, but there were things that I don’t think were acceptable. The condition of the sofa, the stains on the sheets and the condition of the bathtub. The service was fine and the room was clean, but I would’ve liked to taken a shower but that tub was disgusting.

The beds were comfortable but the bathtub was too old and looks like dusty and not clean.
I hope the remodeling process will be finished soon and they rebuild the bathroom areas in all the rooms.

Overall friendly staff; not so clean rooms and elevators don’t work
I like almost everything about the property. The breakfast was very good. The only thing I dislike was that the room floor was not properly cleaned. It was very sticky when walking in the room. Not all rooms have microwave and fridge. They need to specify to those booking whether they need a room with microwave and fridge or not.
