"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waterland. It is convenient for the airport but in a quiet spot, situated by the river. It is beautiful. We had a great private villa with a good size pool. The staff and service were excellent. In particular Raganan was brilliant and looked after us very well. Incredibly good value for money and a short Tuk Tuk ride into Negombo town. "

"We had the most amazing last night of our trip here. It was so peaceful set amongst the paddy fields. It really was like being welcomed into a home but with all the privacy and amazing food that you would expect at such a good hotel. The bed was very comfortable and all the finishings in the bedroom/bathroom were excellent. We did a nice walk with the head of agriculture to learn more about the farms around the property. Definitely recommend!!!"

"All rooms have a sea view, interrupted only by palm trees. My delux room was huge with a massive bathroom. I loved that you can see the ocean from the shower or bathtub. Spa treatments were lovely. Staff all friendly and hard working. The road outside did not feel very safe after dark. There is a pavement but it is blocked in places by shrubs or parked vans so I had all my meals in the hotel. "
