An oasis off the main beach road that allowed me time to adjust after a late night arrival. Had full breakfast (additional charge) to start the day - well presented and ample. AC, hot water, tv and access to nearby restaurants and of course the beach.

Stayed for 2 nights after arriving from the airport, and before our trip in Sri Lanka. Rooms are very clean and spacious, very quiet AC or ceiling fan if you prefer. Lovely well kept property with an easy access to the sea where you are able to swim but unfortunately very little shade on the beach. Would recommend 100%

A lovely stay!

A really nice hotel about fifty yards from Negombo beach. It is in a little alley off the main road and is well situated and clean. The staff were lovely also. A tuk tuk will take you to the main sites in a few mins for about 500 rupees. The locals are really lovely - almost everyone will stop to speak to you or to say good morning. A really nice start to a month in Sri Lanka!

What a great place! Nicely furnished, clean & comfortable. The owner is FANTASTIC & she makes a yummy breakfast every morning. Everything that you need is nearby, restaurants, bars, live music, shopping. The beach is directly across the street. You can also use the facilities of the resort across the street for 2,000 rupees per day. This includes beach chairs, towel, pool, wi-fi, restaurant & bar. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Sri Lanka.

Nice but could be better for the price

Environment is nice and location is great. Room is clean, comfy except lots of mossies. Was in twin room and was bitten by bed bugs or dust mites until i had to switch bed. Would be helpful too if shampoo, conditioner, adult size bath towels were provided.

I can only recommend this place. The owner is absolutely lovely, she communicate all the time. she tried to help us as much as possible. THe room was nice, clean and no smell. That was one of the best things. Even when we stayed in other places including 4* hotels, the smell was terrible. So for sure I would return to this place anytime. Highly recommend it.

I arrived at the hotel at around 5 am and the owner kindly let me check in at that time (I had paid for the previous night) so didn't have to hang out at the airport forever after an extremely long trip to Sri Lanka which I had read was an issue at other hotels. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were very basic but clean. There was tea and coffee in the room but no heating kettle, so you couldn't actually make coffee even though instant coffee was sitting there was there which was a bummer. Lovely property. It's just off the main road (about 1/2 block) down an alley, so was hard to find in the dark until we called and the owner turned on a large lit-up sign. Location is easy walking access to dozens of restaurants, souvenir shops, and other stores so was a good location to be at. Easy walk to the beach and very easy to catch a Tuk tuk on the main road to go into the heart of town or the airport. It's maybe a 15-min drive to the airport. Would def. stay here again and would recommend to others.

Schöne saubere Zimmer mit Gartenblick und allem notwendigen. Klimaanlage und Deckenventilator, kleiner Kühlschrank. Gutes Queens Bett mit fester Matratze. kleiner Balkon mit Gartenblick.Fön im Bad, Duschkabine. Boden gefliest. Wasser, Teebeutel, Zucker, Gläser, Tassen und Wasserkocher vorhanden. Frühstück landestypisch und es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Täglich gab es frischen Saft, Obst uns wechselnde landestypische Zutaten. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

宿泊料金のところに送迎等と書いてありながら、実際空港送迎をお願いしたところ、自分でタクシーなど捕まえれば良いのでは？と言われました。それならなぜ送迎等の料金が取られるのでしょうか意味がわかりません。その他は良かったと思います。

Great stay at Shanelo

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Shanelo. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and breakfast was really good. It was a bit different everyday. They have a very helpful booklet in the room that had great tips where to eat or go sightseeing. Thank you so much for a pleasent stay!

Comfort and location

Comfortable bed in large room, air conditioning and fan, and large, clean bathroom. Breakfast (included) was delicious, one morning was Sri Lankan pancakes (like crepes with coconut and brown sugar), fresh fruit, fresh juice and your option of egg. The second morning was dosa with curry, fresh fruits and juices. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Location is great, many shoos and restaurants nearby, beach access is across the street.

Hotel tres bien pour une ou deux nuits mais nous sommes restees 8 nuits les lits sont fait tous les 2 jours donc poubelles videes que tous les 2 jours tasses a cafe idem papier toilette tres peu savon tres tres peu un probleme la nuit avec un drap on me demande un extra de 500 roupies petit dejeuner tres bien mais cafe infecte le denier jour parties tres tot donc pas de petit dejeuner mais payes

Perfect hotel.

Cannot recommend this hotel enough. It’s a small family run hotel run by two Italian brothers. The entire hotel is spotless. Their attention to detail is fantastic. The rooms are large and modern. The room was cleaned to five star standard every day. It’s very close to the beach and lots of good restaurants and shops. The breakfast is simple but delicious. The grounds are well kept and welcoming. The staff cannot do enough for you. It’s close to the airport (approx 20 minutes) and is the perfect start or end to a touring holiday of Sri Lanka.

Shanelo hotell

Väldigt fint hotell som var relativt nybyggt. Jättefina och stora rum med stor balkong. Lagom stort hotell med kanske 10 rum. De erbjöd sri lankisk frukost om man ville ha det. Hotellet låg nära huvudgatan och stranden på nära håll. Ändå hörde man inte trafiken. Enda smolket i bägaren var trycket i duschen, men det har många hotell i dessa länder.
