A Wonderful Stay

Hostal La Base was very comfortable and the staff are friendly and very accommodating. I stayed here twice on the bookends of my trip and highly recommend. Great location to the bus station and restaurants and markets within walking distance. Breakfast was a buffet and more food than I expected.

La Base is one of the best stays that I had in my last trip. The staff exuded remarkable hospitality, always there with a helping hand. The cleanliness and maintenance were impeccable, creating a comforting and inviting ambiance. Comfortable and homey guesthouse conveniently located (ten minute walk to the Rodoviario bus stop and to the main drag). The hot water flows quickly and has ample water pressure. We arrived late due to a late flight. No worries, got breakfast the next morning. Was great. Nice hot shower, very comfortable bed and pillows. Very friendly front desk. Stored our luggage while we did our trek. Was so nice to be so close to the bus station.
