A sympathetically converted old building with good sized rooms and facilities. A great location situated above the Spanish quarter providing great views from rooms and bar/breakfast/ restaurant areas. Friendly staff and well positioned to explore the city from.

Swimming pool and dining terraces were superb , wonderful views out over the bay of Naples. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The Vignetto dining spot was memorable with great reasonably priced food in a beautiful setting. The funiculare railway is the best way to get down into Naples centre and only takes a few minutes. Taxi are also plentiful and fast and relatively cheap.

A unique boutique hotel set overlooking Naples Bay easily reached by funicular. Being a former monastery, the plumbing needs a little forgiveness but the rooms are decorated stylishly with plenty of space. The terrace and pool area make for great relaxation after exploring the city. Be aware this hotel is a popular wedding venue and wedding guests seem to take precedence over staying guests, having to vacate the pool area by 5pm, the Terrace on occasion for private parties, and late at night be subjected to rowdy crowds leaving. I’d like to see management get a better balance here for future guests.

The hotel is in an old monastery. The building & gardens are beautiful. The view from the rooftop is gorgeous. However, the hotel feels little forgotten. The staff can only be seen in the front desk & pool area. However, the service by the pool is bad. They barely come to see if you need anything to drink. The pool is frigid cold. There's a grotto where a jacuzzi used to be, but now is empty. The gardens, though beautiful are unkempt. The close the pool at 5 & there are wedding often on the rooftop. The guests cannot access the rooftop after 5 if there is an event, which is often. The area is quiet & calm, but not close to dining. You'll need a taxi for mostly everthing. I think next time, I'd skip this place & head down to the area by the Castelo del Ouvo.

Dear Claudia, thank you fr your comments. Old monastery are always located in peaceful place calm and quiet, to relax your mind from busy days. Staff is locacate where guests are: so at the reception and along the swimming pool where we have bar and restauarant service from 9 am to 5 pm, then we open the restuarant and bar on the 4th floor from 5pm to midnight. Along the swimming pool we have the lifeguard in charge of towels and sunbeds and the bar with one person always present, on the other side of the terrace we have the restaurant with other 2/3 waiters. The hotel only have 45 rooms so not so big to require hudreds of staff. The rules of the pool are always explained in all websites and are reminded to all guests at the moment of your reservation and automatic confirmation you receive. To reach places of interest is not necessary to take a taxi each time, only 500 meters right and left to the hotel you have the stop of the cable car (a sort of underground along the hillside) and in 5 minutes you reach via Toledo istitutional center or Piazza Dante historical center where you have shops and restaurants.

Unfortunately have to give this hotel a bad review :( we stayed here for 2 nights and it wasn’t the best. We were told we couldn’t bring outside food into the hotel which is very strange. When we called the front desk to have something sent to our room it never came or we had to call twice to remind them. The bathrooms weren’t cleaned very well and on top of everything my boyfriend and I woke up with bites on us … potentially bedbugs 😣 the property itself is nice but not sure how this is a 4 star hotel other than that

Definitely would come back. The rooms were immaculately clean and the staff very friendly and hospitable. The restaurants and bar were excellent and the view from the rooftop is breathtaking. Antonio at the front desk was outstanding in customer service .

This is a beautiful and interesting hotel. The reason we were in Naples was to visit Pompeii so this was a little difficult as this hotel is on the other side of the city and on top of the cliffs and requires some pretty crazy driving to get to and from. Would absolutely not be a negative if that wasn’t our purpose. The pool and the restaurant beside the pool are absolutely stunning. Next time we’d likely skip Naples and stay in Sorento to visit Pompeii. We didn’t get to the archeological museum in Naples that houses all the items from inside Pompei - didn’t realize that’s where it all was. There were also several weddings at this hotel and some restaurants were closed to us.

Dear Heather, thank you for your reccommandation. To visit Pompeii from our hotel and from other hotel in Naples is easy. Just use the circumvesuviana trains (a sort of undergroud) that depart from central station and in 30 minutes you stop in pompei ruins, no car is necessary. We have two restaurants in summer period, for lunch the Vigneto along the swimming pool and for dinner La Terrazza dei Barbanti on the 4th floor. Both are active also when we have weddings. Wedding are only late afternoon at 6pm when the swimming pool is closed. Best regards

Wonderful hotel with amazing views!
Fantastic stay! The restaurant in the hotel should not be missed-great food. The views from the hotel are spectacular and the rooms are very nice. It’s an uphill walk from the central area of Naples, but the funicular and the subway are great options for accessing Naples and the surrounding areas…and a taxi ride is an inexpensive way to get to the hotel as well. Would certainly stay here again when next in Naples.

Naples in general was a disappointment because of the amount of garbage everywhere. If you over look that the city has a lot of great views to enjoy. The hotel sits above the inlet which gives you spectacular views and the restaurant at the hotel was very good.

Beautiful property with lots of character due to its age and previous use. Needs a little updating, but understandably this would not be easy due to the age and make up of the building. Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Will visit again.

The property is beautiful and very unique. There is art all over and the rooms are well taken care of. The pool is lovely. However, the area this hotel is in is terrible. Very scary to walk around at night, filthy and extremely noisy.

We just stayed here for two weeks. The hotel is perfect for getting around the city. It is just above the exciting Spanish quarter so you can access all the central Naples locations very easily via the funicular services nearby, you can also walk (if its not too hot) and most Taxi journeys are pretty good value too! If you want to get away from the Neapolitan hustle and bustle, you can also access the more upmarket Vomero town as easily as central Naples, it is quieter and has a lovely breeze. The hotel's breakfast was really nice with lovely Italian coffee, fresh fruit, bread and homemade jams. The breakfast staff were very attentive and kind. The view from the hotel with the bay of Naples and Vesuvius is wonderful and the rooftop swimming pool is very welcome on a hot day. The building has such a wonderful history too! We all loved it. Thank you for a memorable holiday.

It is an old convent and handy for the town but a tough walk down and back if you are not great on your feet so be warned. It is high up in the centre of town so views are simply fantastic and indeed panoramic. Pool, as noted in reviews, could be open longer as you get back at it is closed. All staff friendly and helpful. Note it is an old convent and does need some upgrading but again views offset the age and the walk. Tight streets on the walk to town and i would not walk them after dusk - we didn’t walk at night. Open pool longer so families can have a plunge after a day of sightseeing please.

I can't recommend this hotel enough. It's a beautiful building - a former monastery which retains many original features - with a great art collection, and a stunning roof terrace with swimming pool and bar area. There are beautiful gardens on the terraces, and I've never seen a better view of Naples. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the waiting staff are so attentive and nice. It's at the top of the hill so a bit calmer than being in the lively centre of Naples, but still accessible to the historic centre and the port. We took taxis but we also used the furnicular to get into the centre, which was walking distance from the hotel and only a couple of stops to the centre where lots of restaurants and shops are. Thanks especially to Marianna Sarno, the director of commercial and marketing at the hotel, for making our stay so wonderful and taking care of us. I would definitely stay there again.
