I loved the fact that the decor was totally art deco and tasteful
My room was lovely and there is a bar on the premises and eatery if you want to dine in.
Seriously everything was great - from the welcome we received, how clean and well presented the whole hotel looks we could have been staying there the first week it ever opened. We would stay again in a heart beat and will recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Napier. If I could score the hotel 6 stars I would - if I could have the same shower and pressure at home I’d love that too !!
Beautiful character building. Well presented and excellent location. Only negatives were room was a bit small and shower had a fabric curtain that blew about and was quite snnoying.
Perfect location, walking distance to just about everything. Loved the Art deco style decor and furnishings. Common Balcony facing Marine Pde fabulous. Rooms clean and bed comfortable. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful especially Saachi. Whilst no onsite parking, arrangements made to park within a 3 minute walk. We’ll be back next time in Napier
The room was wonderful, so beautiful - the whole building is lovely. We were only going to stay one night but a few hours after checking in we decided to stay another night. Staff (particularly Victor on the front desk ) was so great - nothing was a problem he was kind, helpful and very professional without being stiff - we were made to feel like valued guests even though this was the first time we have stayed there. we will be back and we have told our friends how wonderful the hotel is.
Cool property. Great room. Loved the history and location. Staff over weekend not very helpful - didn’t advise us that doors would be locked at 9pm and how to get back in and staff didn’t know any local attractions or shops.
Loved our stay in the this beautiful historic hotel with all the art deco touches. Wonderful staff too who were super helpful. Great location with walkable access to cafes, bars, shopping, etc. Overnight parking space was easy too. Will definitely stay again.
What a wonderful experience. Great location, good food. The room we had was nice and large with plenty of space to store bags and sit down. Really enjoyed our stay.
5 star in every way, this art deco experience is accommodation in another creative level far different from any other hotel. We stayed in the Mark Twain Suite and wow. We wont ever stay at another hotel when we visit Napier. Highly Recommend to any travellers, it wont dissapoint. Amazing restaurant and bar down stairs as well.
As they say, its not what a place looks like, it's how it made you feel!
The staff were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, just a great weekend away in a deco style hotel. We will return
Truly fantastic place to stay. We loved the historic hotel and the wonderful views from our suite overlooking the ocean. Hope to get another chance to visit there again.
Lovely clean room, helpful and well presented staff, fantastic hotel in a perfect spot.
Street parking all well lit, so didn't bother with paying extra to park a block away.
Will be back!
