Newish hotel in the convenient walkable area. You can walk to Nagoya station- Shinkansen, JR, Kintetsu, Bus to Shirakawa-hi, Takayama or Kanazawa. Room is stylish and has enough electric and usb ( both A and C) outlets close to the bed. My room had a desk, fridge, water boiler, safe. Shower room had a speaker from the TV. You can get amenities ( tea bags etc) from the 1 st floor. There was no coffee makers nor coffee amenities at the amenity area on the 1 st floor. You can get coffee in the morning using welcome drink coupon from the 1 st floor restaurant. The older man at the coffee area was grumpy and rather rude. But all front staff were nice. I recommend buying coffee at Lawson convenience store across the street.

Positive : The hotel propose large rooms for a fair price. Negative : - Into 2 weeks in the hotel, my room has never seen the vacuum cleaner - Breakfast is supposed to be till 10am, but in reality between 9:15 and 09:30, they start to remove the food ! Not a lot of choice for the food proposed and really cheap food. Far from the normal japanese standart, considering the price requested of the breakfast.

よくない口コミもありましたが、気にならない程度だったので、利用させていただきました。結果とても満足いく滞在となりました。駅から近く、周辺の同じ程度のホテルに比べてリーズナブルで、スタッフも親切でした。広くてマットレスもよく、快適な滞在となりました。

Clean and functional and room size spacious for Japanese hotel. Somewhat dated. Didn’t try the restaurants as seem quite pricey compared to what you get outside. Very disappointed the gym is open only in the afternoons, has to be reserved and incurs a few.

The hotel is really old. The rooms are outdated and not cleaned well. The hallways smell like cigarettes even in non-smoking floors. We were supposed to stay here for 4 days and left after the first night. We found another hotel a walk away and it was clean, brand new and even cheaper than this place.

The location was very convenient. They still use actual keys, which is rare. The breakfast was ok, not sure worth the additional cost and it didn't start early enough for my schedule

Great location! English speaking staff.. Only downside, the service (eg massage wasn't available due to their New Year). Hotel parking is 1.5k overnight. Parking outside is cheaper.

The hotel is located very close to the train stations. Courteous and helpful front desk staffs. Delux room was spacious and suitable for family. Electric outlets in the room were too few.

Attentive and very helpful personal, but the facilities are tired and the overall property design unattractive. Breakfast is scant and frankly depressing. This is a shame as the property is ideally located within walking distance of the Nagoya station, which is central in anything you will do in and from Nagoya.

Hotel location good and staff helpful. However, the internet was terrible. Could not access Safari servers or my email, and the few times I was able to connect, it kept disconnecting. Very disappointed that I was unable to get my work done.

The staff is friendly and made me feel warm coming back each time after spending a day outside. Imrovement could be made on request for additional sleeping pillow, I didn't granted even though I requested for an additional pillow. Plus how come there is only a bottle of mineral water even though there are 2 guests? I am ok with one but just don't get it why.

Warm stay at Nagoya in a winter!!
Mercure Nagoya Cypress is located on a very convenient spot. 2-min walk to the subway station and 5-min walk to JR station and Gate Walk and Gate Tower where you can find countless shops and eateries. Right opposition you can find a 24-hour Lawson. Stepping in the hotel you would be warmly welcomed at the front desk by the staff, with full smiles on the face, who can communicate in English without any problem. Parking is available. Perfect!

Get room ready before checking in
The hotel is just at the centre of Nagoya. We like it, the room are great with two big widow and the view is fantastic. The service is nice and we will choose it next time we visiting. Just our frige dose not work and it took about half an hour to replace. We hope the hotel can check it before customer check in. Because every travel minutes are valuable.

We went when the weather was hot! The hotel is very conveniently located near the train station, the staff was super, they spoke english very well. We had breakfast buffet there one morning, the food was good, they do not have decaf coffee, but everything else was great! If we get to come back to Nagoya, we will definitely stay here again.

Hotel is a bit old and warn and not very big. Room was fairly big compared to Japanese size room. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom had what was needed, but nothing fantastic. It is located close to Nagoya station. I did not try the bar or restaurant, but it looked very nice.

Good experience overall
Spacious room (relatively big as Japan hotels’s room are usually very small). Great location, less than 10 mins walk from Nagoya station. Very helpful staff ( they helped me book some local restaurant with a lot of email back and forth, very patient!). Only 2 things I can criticize on are 1. The housekeeper will just throw you clothes on the chair when they make up the bed, usually the hotels I been to the housekeeper will fold you clothes nicely and place them back on the bed; 2. The bed is very low and not too comfy, my back hurt a little after the third night sleep. But overall great hotel with this price range.
