"This hotel is okay if all you need to do is sleep. It's outdated and not fancy. The fitness room was closed. We didn't even look to see if the pool was open. The continental breakfast was very average. But it's a great place to sleep if you're on the road and you need a cheap hotel."

"The staff were fantastic — friendly, professional, and really helpful. The place is starting to show its age and could use a refresh: worn carpet and some creaky elevators. Little things were annoying, like light-up doorbells outside every room that kids kept pressing as they ran down the hall, and no indoor stairways to the lobby (all are fire exits that led to the outside) meant we had to wait for slow elevators. It’d be nice if the Mercantile had drip coffee (a lot of guests asked), and the hot tubs didn’t have working jets — when we mentioned it at the desk the response felt a bit indifferent, which was odd given how great the staff usually are. With a few updates and fixes, this hotel would be even better."

"This place is nothing like the reviews I looked at. It was disgusting, from the lobby area to the rooms. There were dirt finger prints all over the doors, a dirty sock next to the bed in our room, the sheets were very worn to the point they were so thin it was see through in spots and only a very thin blanket on top. It smelled terrible in the room and was covered in dust. The air in the room gave you two choices either boiling hot or ice cold. We were so disgusted we left and spent money on a different hotel in town. Will never be going back here."

"The pool was actually warm and enjoyable. Although the hallways smelled strongly of marijuana, the room we stayed in did not and it was pretty clean. Our TV was broken and they weren’t able to fix it during our stay, but they did offer some refund which was very nice of them. Breakfast was pretty limited in options (especially any healthy options, and no decaf coffee), but did have waffle makers which the kids liked."
