Great place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to cook a meal. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are wanting to stay at The Myrtle Beach Resort.

The location was excellent. The checking was smooth and easy. The actual unit B351 was clean but looked old and needs updating. The popcorn ceilings are brown and popping off from prior visible water damage. The worst thing about this unit was the master bedroom. The TV is to the left of the bed so you can’t see it unless you lay in your side. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. There was a cinder block underneath holding it up. Maybe one person would be comfortable if they wanted to sleep in the huge dip in the middle that both people roll into no matter what.

Elevators: Out of the 3 elevators, 1—and sometimes 2—were out of service. This caused waiting times of 5–10 minutes just to get inside an elevator. The room appeared clean at first, but there was sand throughout the space. - The bathtub and shower curtains looked new, but there was mold along the shower wall edges. - The main bathroom air‑extractor filter fell out and could not be reinstalled. - Several pieces of furniture were broken or scratched. - The kitchen sink triturator was clogged and stuck. - Items from previous guests were left inside the closets. - The balcony rail was technically secured but unsafe for children, especially on the 11th floor. - The children’s blankets had yellow stains. - 11th‑floor hallway was undergoing wall and door paint renovation, strong odor, unpleasant appearance. I took photos during the first hours of occupancy and continued discovering additional deficiencies in the following days. I was not provided with an email address to report these issues to prevent any misunderstanding or extra charges. The good thing is that the hotel is within a very comfortable walking distance from the beach. There’s also a small, basic karaoke restaurant/bar next to it where you can get food and some light alcoholic drinks or cocktails. The parking area is a decent size, but it’s almost always full. Overall, it’s not a bad spot, but for the price, they could definitely do better.

The photos of the property are pictures of the many different kinds of condos and properties in their hundreds of places. It’s not the one you will be renting. We thought we were renting a much nicer place with an ocean view. In hindsight, we should have known the price per night was way too reasonable for ocean front or views. Also, check-in was a stressful experience as what we were told we needed to do to check in was not accurate. After 5 phone calls to customer service we finally got our gate code and understood what was actually available to us at the particular location we were at. Apparently, they manage hundreds of different properties. Condo was decent, dated and kitchen had little items to use to even make breakfast. Floor wasn’t very clean. Several things were not functioning like bathroom vent, lighting in some rooms. The bed mattress was also very dated. Overall property was decent but not more than a “good” rating.

The unit was very nicely decorated and very clean. Bed was comfy too. The only issues are having to drive to a different location out of our way to receive check in codes and then back to the unit to stay and the unit had a previously reported water problem under flooring that squished up when stepped on. It had already been reported but they still rented it to us.

Sadly not a good time.

Was not happy that all the pools were under construction so then we had to share a small one with the resort next door. Our bedroom door was held open by a hook just shoved in the wall. There were no potholders available so we had used a towel. The beds and pillows were rock hard, even the kids were uncomfortable. The main door lock was coded so had to mesmerize a long code. The front room cable went out and was told it wasn’t an emergency and would get to it later. Just overall not a great experience.

Disappointed customer

First off I contacted the management company to let them know that we were going to be a late check in. We get there to the management company to get our packet with our code. Then when I put in the address to the actual resort it was whole 20 minutes away! I get to the resort and put my code in for the gate, get to our condo and bring our stuff in. As I’m looking and inspecting the place the sofa is dirty, the microwave handle was broken, and the bed slept horribly. The next day I go out to Walmart and I return to the property. I pull up to the gate and they told me they charge a $20 parking fee that I was NOT informed about!!! I had to end up having my mother in law cashapp me the money so I could get back to my family. I’m never renting from them again

Second Class Guests

We love the Myrtle Beach Resort and have stayed many times over the years. This room was the worst room I have ever stayed in and sadly effected the comfort of our trip. The room was run down, the shower was moldy and it didnt work great. There were no blinds on the sliding door and we faced east so they sun came in and lit up the whole room which was a studio. Too hot to sleep once the sun came up. Beds where mattresses on platforms with no box springs so we didn't sleep well at all. I dont like getting treated like second class guests just because we used hotels.com. I like to use my free rooms for family vacations but I feel like they put us in their worst room. This was a little trip before school starts up again and the room was really disappointing! The security did nothing about loud guests out on the beech outside our room lighting fireworks till 2am! Thats not an issue directed at you so much as its out of your control but just another aspect of the trip that made the whole stay horrible!

Check-in was the biggest hassle, trying to get the code to the door and the pictures in the listing! do not do the room justice whatsoever. I thought I was going to a new modern place that was just freshly renovated! Instead, I got an old musty bathroom smell that smells like the toilet was just clogged for six weeks and the toilet was extremely too small. The kitchen was so outdated even trying to cook pancakes took two hours the pictures that I were shown when I booked the room is not how the room looked when I arrived. Besides the people being very nice there and my kids having a great time if it wasn’t for that, this would’ve been probably the worst experience ever for a vacation wasn’t worth $1500 for the room. I probably could’ve got a nicer $500 room that actually had towels toilet paper and basics
