"The hotel is in a lovely setting, the reception staff were very pleasant . The rooms were clean. Unfortunately the condition of the room and hotel was a different matter. It looks like it could do with a complete upgrade as it seemed tatty and in communal areas to be really run down. "The staff was very friendly when I checked in and when I asked how to close my door (the lock was finicky). Parking was adequate. Didn't have breakfast. Comfy bed. Nice shower (one that doesn't have a door but also doesn't spray out into the room). Limited outlets made recharging devices take on a triage system. Heard everyone who came in after 2 AM, as all doors seemed to slam shut. Coats of paint are needed everywhere, and the place could use a decent renovation. Great boulangerie across the street, and grocery right next door."
"If you arrive by car in the dark then its not easy to see the driveway to the Reception nor where you can actually park. You have to go in and ask! Very friendly and informative staff so first class in that respect. Room was fine and good enough but noisy smoking neighbours in next room on the adjoining balcony. Restaurant staff great. Usual disappointing menu but typical french fayre and they still dont know what a well done steak is! "
