Great property with fantastic amenities. They upgraded us to a suite which was highly appreciated as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The half board was good however, we felt the options were limited in terms of cuisine. However, the hotel did do their best to satisfy our tastebuds with options for customisation of dishes. Overall, a fantastic stay where we left feeling relaxed.

Our stay unfortunately began with a terrible check-in experience - two of our assigned rooms were infested with bugs. Given the luxury reputation of the Mandarin Oriental brand, this left a massive sour taste in our mouths. To their credit, management handled it as expected, promptly offering alternative rooms so we could settle in. Once resolved, our stay genuinely got much better... Concierge: absolute standouts! Exceptionally friendly and guided us through Muscat with fantastic local insights. Rooms: spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed with the perfect balance of modern luxury and chic Omani touches. Spa & Lobby: the hotel lobby is stunning, and the spa lived up to the Mandarin's legendary service - flawless execution. Location: ideal for excursions and only 10–15 minutes from key city center attractions. Dining & Gym: the breakfast buffet was a standard 5-star spread, and the gym was a bit underwhelming/missing some standard equipment, but fine for a quick workout. Despite the initial hygiene lapse at check-in, the overall hardware, spa, location, and outstanding concierge service turned our trip around. I would still recommend it over other top Muscat luxury options.

I had a wonderful stay at Mandarin Oriental Muscat. The hotel is elegant, peaceful, and beautifully designed, but the highlight of the experience was definitely the staff. Every member of the team was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional, always making sure everything was perfect. The service felt genuine and personalized, which made the stay even more special. From the restaurants to housekeeping and concierge, the hospitality was outstanding throughout. I would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Muscat.
