It was quiet and peaceful. The staff was very generous. Rooms was clean an maintained. I would stay again with no complaints.

This property has had a bad reputation in the past, but it has now been renovated. The king bed was very comfortable. The room and bathroom were clean but sloppy caulking in the bathroom makes the floor around the toilet look dirty but it is not dirty. The shower was fine with a good shower head and hot water. It was a very hot, humid day and night, but the air conditioning kept us cool. The person checking us in was friendly and helpful. There is nothing fancy about this place but it met our needs adequately.

Was close to Chowan University and we could walk to places to eat. Room was clean. I know the hotel is a bit older but it appears some updates have been made. Has a refrigerator and microwave in the rooms.

Hotel Hell

The worst facility ever booked thru Hotels.com. Water leaking from adjoining unit.....flimsy door look. Avoid at all costs.

Extremely outdated and run down. The phone was disgustingly filthy! The floors looks clean - walk around in your socks and discover how gross they were. The towels were the thinnest I have EVER had and they left a residue on my skin. Same with the bedding - very thin and not soft - outdated.

Please don’t stay here !!

The hotel was in a unsafe area. The room smelled like cigarettes. The room stated that it could fit two people but this room was the size of a matchbox. We had to ask for towels and wash clothes, and tissue. The room has an windup air conditioning unit and in the day time the sun pierce through a small holes in the window. Our room door wouldn’t lock so anyone could just walk in our room at anytime, and I found out that a young lady overdosed at the hotel. This place is terrible!!

Filthy Room…Do Not Stay Here!

I reserved this room for my siblings and their room was in the same condition as my double double room. Filthy!! Bedding was dirty. Housekeeping didn’t want to provide fresh clean bedding until they “saw proof” of dirty bed linen. Dust and dirt on walls and caked on baseboard. Shower floor was dirty with mildew all over shower curtain. Afraid to let it shower curtain touch them.

I like that the property was located closely to the university. It was an extremely convenient location. I did not like the staff experience that i encountered upon arrival. He was not welcoming. He presented a room that was not cleaned. The linen was not clean and had cigarette burns on it. The bathroom was filthy and he declined to clean initially. My family and i went to the Dollar Tree on Main Street to purchase our own cleaning products. Once night came, the facilty has a large watchdog that is extremely big and intimdating. He barks extremely loud. It interrupts the peace. We checked out early as a result of our terrible experience.
