"Too much perfume "

"I had the pleasure of spending eight fabulous days at the Le Montfort and what an incredible experience it has been. While there are so many facets to enjoying this place what stood out most is the very kind, loving people that work here. The attentiveness of each and every team member is astounding and the best kindness in doing what they do. I can see the passion camaraderie shared by them to being a close knit family all with a common goal to make this hotel outstanding and treat each other and the guests with gentleness and kindness. Getting to the hotel was an adventure within itself. Passing through Munnar and winding up the beautiful mountains, each turn has beauty and then arriving at this remote and secluded location. The view from the hotel of the surrounding mountains and beautiful valley below is incredible; just the way nature intended it to be. Greeted at the front entrance by India’s Most Beautiful Pageant members :) you will immediately feel the peace and kindness entering the property. The front desk made everything very smooth and I got to experience three different rooms and suites while here. A jungle view with the sounds of nature right out the front of my balcony. The south facing suite with amazing views of the valley below. You will truly be treated like royalty here and all resources are used to provide a lovely welcome. All the staff are gems from GM Arun, to manager Dinesh, Rakhi tour executive extraordinaire and EVERYONE ELSE ON THE TEAM"

"Very nice, modern hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. The staff were excellent, courteous, and made the stay feel welcoming. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The only area for improvement was noise, as there was a low humming sound from the bathroom ceiling and corridor noise could carry into the room at times. With a bit more attention to soundproofing, the guest experience would be even better."

This was a distressing experience for my entire family; in fact, we stayed awake throughout the night due to significant safety concerns. The property is in a state of total disrepair and appears to have had no maintenance or renovations since its opening. The rooms were in pathetic condition with an unbearable odor, and the amenities were completely unusable. Furthermore, the photos provided online are a gross misrepresentation of the current state of the property.""

"The day we went, we saw the sheets had been changed months ago. They were not fresh. Bathroom had a leaky faucet. Tv and room phone were not working. Above all the room was nothing like the pictures. Looks like they took the pictures when the hotel was new. It looks 50 years older now. "

"This is NOT in Munnar town centre. The map is WRONG. It is actually 12km (35 mins) south of Munnar. Place is peaceful. It is 20 minutes walk from the nearest place to eat. It was freezing cold at night... as in wearing 5 layers of clothing cold. The smallest cabin would be v tight for 2 people. The walk up to the cabin from the carpark is crazy steep. Might be challenging for people with mobility issues"
