This was one of our favorites on our Great Lakes road trip. We are a family of 6 and finding accommodations that aren’t insanely expensive can be difficult. Everything about this place was great. Locations, cleanliness, beautiful surroundings, a caring host. Would definitely recommend and my wife is still obsessed.

Layout of room and amenities were well thought out by owner for the size of cottages. Would like to have had a table to sit down and eat at! Communication prior to arrival was poor but once I got there it was excellent. We did enjoy our stay.

The staff was extremely helpful! We needed a late check out and an early check-in since our washing machine flooded our house and they were very gracious in helping us meet our timing needs. The property is beautiful as well and perfect for a dog. But, I can't stress enough how helpful and kind the staff was.

Perfect spot for our mini vacation, loved the size and the amenities of the property. Very cute and close to town. Wish there was one more chair, only 3 chairs inside and outside for a space that fit 4 comfortably. Thank you for the great communication.

Great property! Be aware that the all units do not have a stove/cooktop. The on-line photos are the same for all units but the kitchens are different. Loved having a washer/dryer in the unit! Next time we’re up that we, we’ll plan to stay here again!!

It was nice clean place to stay. The upper windows were neat to look out of at night. Trails on the property were cool to have. The trail to the “fire pit” was a bit of a letdown; it was overgrown and there was no upkeep. If you like hot showers, you better be quick! If you plan on having cooking or need to do dishes, the sink is very small.

It was so cute and cozy! Definitely enjoyed the houses being more modern but cabin vibe at the same time. I wish we knew that some units don’t have a stove or a freezer before we bought food. The address was kind of confusing directly from clicking on maps, we had to read how to get there. At night the sign entering the homes from the road is hard to see because there is no lights on it. Hot water ran out super fast, Other than those things it was amazing & I would come back but i would be more prepared.

Staff was responsive immediately. Cold air worked great. Only complaint is the shower water got cold within 5 minutes and there was no freezer which I hoped for. There is also a $100 cleaning fee I must not have seen when booking. Otherwise, nice place to get away for a couple days

The house manual was super useful for both the cabin and the surrounding area. The firepit and washer/dryer were useful and def enhanced the comfort of our stay. Would stay again!

I will say this was the best stay even though it was short. I went to Munising to see my sister who has stayed in the past at Explore The bungalow was perfect ! Very pretty and comforting . They have a couple trails onsite that I fully recommend ! The staff was so nice and immediately available when needed. Even the wonderful ladies that cleaned the places were so fun to talk to as well. I will be back ! This is perfect for a solo traveler and close to all the fun things Munising has to offer !

The place was nice, the check in was easy. The only thing I didnt like was the fact that there was a weird smell upon entering the cabin and also one of the complimentary bottles of soap seemed opened and re used. Lastly there was like 3 flies just chillin inside on the large living area window. Other than that I do appreciate the cabins, they're cute and cozy I do wish they let people smoke out on the porch chairs provided. The rooms where clean so ill give them that for sure.

Pros: Last minute availability, great location, hiking trail to small waterfall behind the unit, comfy bed, dog friendly, clean bathroom. Cons: Floor and furniture were sandy, pull out couch didn’t have a sheet, pull out couch uncomfortable (thin and springy), not much of an outdoor seating/fire pit area. The studio units are really 2 person units IMO, though they technically sleep 4. They only have 2 plates/bowls, 2 outdoor chairs, etc. They are very small, so anything more than 2 and there isn’t much room to move around. They are nice and mostly clean (pretty sure housekeeping forgot to sweep and the furniture was also sandy). This is a good landing base if you just need a spot to sleep and don’t plan to spend a lot of time there. Make sure to read the amenities so you know it’s not a fully equipped kitchen. FYI, it does have a toaster. Note to management- A mat at the front door would go a long way at keeping sand out of the rental. Also, please add 2 more plates and bowls.
