"The hotel itself is well presented and stylish, with very good facilities and comfortable rooms. Unfortunately, our overall experience was let down by the restaurant and the level of service provided by the staff.
During our meal, we were served a glass that had what can only be described as residue resembling snot on the side. When we brought this to the waitress’s attention, she simply took the glass away and poured the same water into a new glass. A more experienced staff member would have replaced both the glass and the water entirely.
The situation worsened when we ordered a grilled chicken club Jakarta sandwich, but what arrived was a basic processed chicken toastie—something comparable to a quick grab-and-go item from a coffee chain. At that point, we chose to leave rather than wait longer for a correction, especially as the manager seemed confused about our complaint, despite it appearing we had been served the wrong dish.
Overall, the restaurant and staff significantly tainted what could have been a great stay.
Additionally, the hotel’s distance from the central train station made getting to and from the city inconvenient. The cost of Ubers quickly added up, and in hindsight, it would have been better to book a hotel closer to the centre."
