Top Holiday Park Resorts in Municipality of Alkmaar in 2026

A few years ago we were in Alkmaar. Who think of Alkmaar, think Molen van Piet (and of course cheese). Strongly and vigorously, the monumental mill sets out above the surrounding city-building. This is where everyone knows the Netherlands, of course, the windmills. In the Limburg Heuvelland where I live, you mostly encounter watermills.

Piet's Mill is a typical city mill, beautifully situated on the Alkmaar Singel, where you enter the city from Kennemerstraatweg. With its majestic revolving wings, the mill attracts all the attention, not only from Alkmaar's own but also from the tourists who do Alkmaar.
The mill was built in 1769 and then served as a grain mill. Since 1993, the witches only run 'for the prince'.
The North Holland city of Alkmaar has two other mills, but I undoubtedly find it the most beautiful of the couple.

"Wir sind entsetzt über die Qualität der Unterkunft! Wir haben zwei identische Tiny Häuser gebucht, die aber komplett verschieden waren. Die Schlafplätze im Dach sind eine absolute Freiheit. Da passt noch nicht mal ein Kind rein und Sie geben es auf Ihrer Internetseite als Schlafplätze für zwei Personen an. Dort kann nicht mal eine Person aufrecht sitzen, mir fehlen die Worte. Außerdem stinken beide Häuser extrem widerlich nach nassem Hund. Jedes Möbelstück stinkt und das Betreiben der Heizung...

"Great place. Hôtel is clean, convenient a walkable. Pros - Very walkable location. We felt safe walking around at night. Everywhere is easy to walk to and beautiful to look at. Water view. The hotel sits in front of a canal. Clean. The streets were so clean. Ann Frank house — close walk to this site. I highly recommend getting tickets. Canal ride — this was the highlight of our teenagers. A beautiful way to see the city and hear awesome facts for anyone interested in listening. We would definitely stay here again. "
