#Jvari is only about an hour ride from #Tbilisi and the wonderful views are worth it. I highly recommend visiting at sunset!
The Ananuri fortress set beautifully above the Zhinvali reservoir. Visit on your way from Tbilisi to Kazbegi!
The Georgian Military Highway crosses the Greater Caucasus Mountains at Jvari Pass (2,379m), near the ski resort of Gudauri. Located only a few hours north of Tbilisi, a road trip here can be done in a day, but more time should be given so that some of the side valleys and mountains in this region can be explored on foot or by car. #lifeatexpedia #roadtrip #mountains #georgia
