My recent stay at Mount Airy was a mix of highlights and disappointments. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable — definitely a strong point. I also appreciated the amenities; the pool was beautiful, the fitness center well-equipped, and the massage service was enjoyable, though unfortunately cut shorter than expected.
Where the experience fell short was in the overall service. At the pool area, we waited over 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, and when we finally placed a food order, it arrived more than an hour later — and cold. While Manager Alicia did refund part of the bill and mentioned she’d send champagne or strawberries to the room, that promise was never fulfilled. On the other hand, Manager Grant was very thoughtful and provided a $50 food credit, which was a much-appreciated gesture.
While there were definitely some enjoyable aspects of the trip, the inconsistent customer service unfortunately impacted the overall experience.
