"We booked two standard rooms over New Year based on Hotels.com descriptions. Whilst our stay was okay - the standard room was not like the Hotels.com description. There was no TV in either of our rooms, we didn't get water even once (despite asking), and the dustbin in the bathroom had previous occupant's litter in it - YUK! When we asked for TVs (as per hotel.com description) - they found one (no remote) for one of our two rooms but it could only play content off our own laptop. WIFI is...

"Notre séjour dans la maison n°3 a été une véritable déception. Le logement est complètement vétuste et ne correspond absolument pas aux photos, qui sont manifestement anciennes et très trompeuses. À notre arrivée, nous avons constaté de nombreux problèmes : des murs moisis, une salle de bains sale avec des robinets couverts de calcaire, une moustiquaire déchirée dans l’une des chambres, ainsi que des draps tachés dans les trois chambres. En ouvrant l’un des lits, nous avons même trouvé des...

"My family and I have stayed in many 5* hotels around the world but, by far, this has to be one of the loveliest places we have ever visited. One night was just not enough and, should we visit Mozambique again, we will be sure to allocate the time to fully appreciate everything this lovely hotel has to offer. If you find yourself in this area (with a 4x4 car), I highly recommend Travessia Beach Lodge."

"Great spot with a great host.. many thanks!! Would go back.."

"Cozy, comfortable room and nice breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff. Central and walkable. "

"This was a very relaxed property with spacious grounds away from the crowds but not too far from the “action” ( note we had a vehicle) Home grown produce used in the menu that included a lot of vegan options. Did take some time to prepare :-) Basic accommodation but good value for the price. Highly recommend you avoid a downstairs room if upstairs is occupied as the wooden floors are particularly noisy. "amazing stay, carlos, mozinho and moussa are the best and made our stay great. the place itself is really beautiful and the rooms beautiful and comfortable! a bit far from the center but the walk even at night as women is safe. 100% recommend. Great breakfast and food also!"

"The location is lovely, but the chalet itself was in a horrible condition when we arrived. It was extremly dirty and not in a good condition. The stuff and owners were very helpful, but that place definitely needs an upgrade. It is not a 3 star accommodation. "
