"Our garden room was very basic but bathroom looked recently redone and very clean. Not a luxury accommodation but it was clean, right on the beach, the pub food was very good. My only complaint was lack of overhead lighting in the room. We knew it would be a no frills room but it was better than we had anticipated based on other reviews I had read. It was clean, staff was helpful and it served our purpose."

"This was everything we hoped it would be. Unique, private, clean, well equipped as it should be and convenient to the North coast for all the beauty and wilderness it has to offer. Everything worked except for the weather which no one can control. When I come back to Cape Breton, I will be booking Blue Bayou again and well in advance since it will soon be a must for thousands of Cabot Trail visitors throughout the season."

"Clean RV- not a cabin like in the picture but that was okay. Comfortable main bed. Didn’t have cell reception so I wasn’t sure what unit was ours and it didn’t say the name on the email, a little unclear where to check in but when we did connect with staff, they were quite helpful. Good location for our Cabot trail journey."
