"Not much in the general area but had a small street festival for the locals.Thai Music and dance and food vendors. The ST Resort (siamese tin resort)is an excellent stay for 1 or 2 night stay while touring Thailand.Highly recommended if on a Motorcycle tour or car just to relax and take a breath.. The tin cafe has some for the best food I have had in my travels though Thailand..!Has an amazing history as it was a tin mining area.. 10/10 for an overnight stay"

"If you're looking after an quiet, authentic, rural bungalow experience, look no further. This place provides you with the basic necessities for a fun island holiday on budget. Rit and his family are excellent hosts with always smiling and helpful. The raised bungalows are 150m from the beach and in 10 minutes walk you can get to nice restaurants, bars and massage places. If you don't feel like walking at all, Rasta house has an on site bar with reasonable prices but a bit limited...

"Clean quiet private bungalows with aircon or fan and hot water . Internet is good . Dutch owner is friendly and accommodating. There is a restaurant right across the street and a fee convenience stores nearby. Nice area to visit with a beach. If you are a cyclist this is a food stop before or after Ranong. "Nice individual bungalows, much better construction that the typical bamboo style. Comfy bed, bright room, clean bathroom (cold water only) and fan cooled the room adequately at night. Wifi a bit patchy but reached the bungalows closest to the restaurant. Walking distance to one beach, mini market and a few restaurants, a bit of a long walk to the pier but doable. Can rent mopeds from them. Quiet location. "

"Told we could pay by credit card, not so. The owner of the resort had left for 1 month taking the card machine with her. Put us in real financial problems. Service at the restaurant was bad 1 1/2 hours for our meals to arrive. Then the waitress accused me of being maw (drunk) I was appalled by her comment. Lets say we didnt eat there again."

"Basic hotel with a very friendly host. Rooms were clean, and there is a nice pool to relax. The restaurant serves excellent Thai food. There was no sink in the bathroom, which was kind of odd. Brushing my teeth with the shower head was a first :-) "

"Paid up front for 7 nights to be told on arrival that they do not use Expedia. Beware! I’ve been refunded by Expedia but when you arrive somewhere late in the day to be told you have no booking and they are fully booked its a little frustrating. I’m sure this is a great place to stay but do not book through Expedia without checking woth the hotel first."

"This resort is a bit isolated so do not considier it unless you have your own transport. It is situated right by the beach and was very quiet, however the place was quite run down and the room needed painting inside with paint peeling off the wall, the bathroom door was impossible to jut and a dirty curtain on the bathroom window. However the bed was clean and comfortable and the air con worked ok. There are very few restaurants to eat at in the area also. "
