"Room was comfortable and clean. Shower was good. Loved the pool. Thought staff was friendly and capable. I saw the manager dealing with a gentleman I can only describe as a "Karen" who was complaining that the pool was being cleaned around mandatory check out time in the a.m. He was a jerk but the manager kept cool and stayed polite. Kudos."

"The pool had moldy water in it, they advertise a microwave in the room, the microwave is in the lobby. The whole place is under renovation, and they're not doing a very good job of it. I checked out the same day I checked in, the place is a safety hazard. Kids running all over the place. The door to my room wouldn't lock when I stepped out to retrieve the rest of my things from my car. No breakfast at all. This is also advertised as an amenity. This place gives a new meaning to misrepresentation and false advertising! DO NOT STAY HERE!"

"Overall, our 5 night stay was excellent. The room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet. The staff was very knowledgeable and accomodating. We didn’t use any of the exercise equipment, so we can’t comment on that We enjoyed the adjoining restaurant very much. We took our dinners in the bar area. The food was outstanding, as were the bartenders and wait staff. We’ve stayed at the Kimpton hotel in Seattle and enjoyed those stays. The Cardinal fully met the expectations we had, based on our stays their Seattle facility. We live nearby your hotel in Palm Springs. Although we personally haven’t a need to stay there, we’ll be recommending the Kimpton Rowan to friends and family visiting us. The only negative thing we experienced was the shower. The faucet for the shower was directly opposite the shower head. The placement of the shower door made entering the shower somewhat awkward, evidenced when the water was turned on. We were hit by cold water until the hot water arrived."

" The breakfast arrangements need to be made clearer. The is no free breakfast, you have an option to purchase a breakfast. Which is a choice, but should be made clear. There was not even free coffee in the lobby, really!! The staff was great, room very comfortable, except no TV Guide. I understand the breakfast is a Marriot guide, the room rate was good, but the no coffee added a negtaive. "
