The room was clean, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable given the price of the room. Cleaning staff was friendly and came by after one day, which wasn’t needed but shows they are cleaning regularly. Amenities are very basic but the microwave and coffee maker worked just fine.

There is no sound proofing, prepare to hear everything around you. No workers stay over night so you are unable to call the office if there are other people being extremely loud past the 10pm mark. Ok if you don’t have kids and just want a place to sleep.

The motel is reasonably priced, rooms and amenities are clean and excellent quality. It is very convenient and superb value for money. The staff is very professional and courteous as well. It is walkable to Alvarado street which has many great places to eat

Updated dated hotel

Clean decent for a one night stay. Tenant above us was noisy. Parking was tight. Carpet was dingy, gap under the door. Otherwise, this is a economy hotel for the price.

After reading the reviews posted, I was surprised to see that the location of the motel was the first one closest to an older area of Monterey in a 1/2 mile line of quaint family run motels. The location was across the street from an older residential and commercial section of Monterey, with a liquor store across the street. The motel itself was older and needed some paint and re-stained cement walkways. The carpet on the exterior stairs and walkways was also stained in many areas. Our room had a post-cleaning smell similar to a cheap cologne, causing us to open some windows to get fresh air. In fairness this was an older motel that looked better in the photos. I would rate this property with 5 out of 10 stars.

Die Unterkunft ist einfach aber sauber und für einen Zwischenstopp ideal. Man kann kostenlos parken und hat Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fußläufig.

I had a very unpleasant experience during my stay. While getting out of the bathtub, I was injured by a dangerously sharp metal fixture on the shower glass. It caused a bleeding cut on my body, and there were no warning signs or safety protections in place. When I reported it at checkout, the front desk staff initially denied responsibility and only responded after I insisted on the legal safety requirements. He reluctantly helped send the incident photos to Expedia but refused to provide any written acknowledgment until I pushed again. Even though he said he would contact me, I never received a follow-up. I had to go through Expedia’s safety department to get a partial refund. I only received 25% back. The room also had a musty odor and was not worth the price. This place has poor safety standards, unprofessional service, and is absolutely not worth the cost. I do not recommend staying here, and I hope others will be cautious.
