This is my second time staying at the Colton Inn on a visit to Monterey. For me, it was important that it's located close to the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, but it's also within walking distance of lots of downtown/Old Monterey locations, including a drug store, Trader Joe's, cafes and restaurants, and the water front. Staff are always extremely helpful, I enjoy the breakfast (love that they have hard boiled eggs!), and always have a great stay here.

The accommodation was good, in terms of cleanliness and price. However, we were just woken up by the other guests leaving early or possibly the cleaning staff, cleaning early in the morning. We were able to hear the footsteps of those above us in the 3rd floor and even car doors closing. Other than that, it was affordable and easy.
