Property around is nice. Room was clean, bed was good. Otherwise room was utterly without any charm. Like a Motel 6, but with even less decor. Since I only used it for sleeping it was useful. But if I was there for a stay it was a miserable place to be stuck in.

Toen we aankwamen was er niemand om ons naar de kamer te wijzen. Na een paar minuten kwam er iemand. Aangekomen in de kamer was deze niet klaar voor 3 personen. We hebben extra handdoeken en beddengoed gekregen voor de uitklapbare slaapbank. Achter de slaapbank lagen 2 legge flessen wodka. Het bed was goed. De kamer is zeker toe aan een update. De accommodatie ligt wel heel mooi aan de Russian River.

We got a mini suite and the bed was comfortable and unit was clean with soft new towels but those were the room highlights as well as a view of the river right in front with access if that is what you will be doing here. This was a step above camping and the property is old. There is no staff full time but self check in went OK. There is Wi-Fi but the whole area is lacking in cell service outside so be aware. We were there for a wedding nearby so did not use the property for leisure. There is a golf course down the road that served an excellent breakfast with a lovely view. The hotels along the river all look pretty old so this may not be uncommon for the area. If you are looking for a bargain this serves the purpose and had small kitchen and fridge but our room had only a large fan and no A/C unit. Some relatives had a room next to ours with free standing rolling A/C unit that sort of worked. Stairs to climb up to top rooms no elevators but we were able. If you need to sleep it’s OK.

Ok so this is a place that you have to appreciate the rustic charm and love the affordability. Jay is great. Responsive. Its not crowded. Theres available parking. The property is beautiful. The river folks are friendly...well most of them anyway. Yes the rugs could use changing, and the outside chairs could use a good scrubbing. But I will be making this my go to definitely.

This property was a major letdown, even for someone used to budget travel. I came here directly from a camping trip with very modest expectations—and was still disappointed. From the moment we arrived, communication was disorganized and unclear. There was no staff onsite, no cell service, no Wi-Fi info, and a sign on the door instructing us to call or message via WhatsApp—without any way to do so. After leaving the property to find reception, I finally got a message directing me to retrieve a key from a dropbox—without any in-person interaction. On top of that, we were placed in a completely different room than the one we reserved. We had specifically booked a room with a private balcony for a special occasion, and instead were given a unit that opened to a shared walkway, with broken blinds and zero privacy. During our stay, we were blocked in by another car. When I asked for help, the only response was to “ask them to move it,” even though there was no indication of whose car it was or how to contact anyone else. No staff were present at any point, and there was no further communication. The room itself was outdated, worn, and clearly not maintained with care. What’s most frustrating is that the property seems to charge a premium simply because it can—not because it offers anything close to a quality experience. It feels like no real effort is made to maintain the space or provide basic hospitality. The attitude seems to be: “people will book it anyway."

I loved the private access to the lake, very convenient and beautiful way to start the morning. The manager, Jay, was very kind and flexible despite the curve balls we threw at him. The place was cozy but does need some work. I liked the convenience of having a kitchen.

I did not get the room I paid for. That was the reason I stayed there, to get the room with the spiral staircase to an upper bedroom. Instead, they put me in a cheaper room and gave my room to someone else. They did not even say sorry or attempt to make it up in any way.
