「The room is spacious and extremely clean. Everything is provided, kitchen ware, soaps, extra blankets. Waters and cookies were given at the front desk. Room is really spotless and smelled great. Beds are comfortable. The only thing is having hot coffee in the lobby. Coffee bar is there but the coffee was cold coming out of the vats. And it would be nice to have a larger cart to haul our things up to the room. Plenty of small carts which was nice but 1 large one would have been good to use. But...

「Staff was friendly at check-in, room was clean. The shower was the standout amenity. The water pressure was perfect, which can be rare. In many hotels I’ve been in it tends to be lackluster, but this was better than home.」

「We’ve stayed here 8 times during the past 3 years because we love the design and history, but be advised of issues: This is not a 4-star hotel, as advertised. By definition, a 4-star hotel minimally has porters to help with luggage and offers room service. Marcel has neither. The front desk person does his/her best and will help with luggage in a pinch, but we’ve never seen a porter, even when we struggled. If you want to eat in your room, you order takeout from the hotel restaurant and then go...
