However, on the first night we witnessed the restaurant staff have an absolute meltdown, it was embarrassing for all involved. "We enjoyed our stay here! The hotel is a little dated, but the staff were wonderful. Really enjoyed the refreshments offered upon arrival, the pool and spa, and terrace bar for an apertivo. We mentioned it was my son’s birthday, and the housekeeping staff left candies and a birthday balloon in our room—so sweet! Great breakfast buffet and decent dinner in the hotel restaurant. Plus, the view from the terrace is amazing!"

"Great place with a beautiful location by the lake, and amazing gardens. We had wonderful days at Splendido. We would come back. But to honor the name, furniture in the rooms needs to be updated and better maintained, and staff at the restaurants should be better trained and have more experience (though Ariana was very nice and attentive). Staff at reception were kind and helpful). Overall, a good choice if you want to spend a few days in the beautiful Lago di Garda."

"Accommodation basic but clean and had what we needed - bear in mind that you’ll need to pay to hire sheets and towels if not bringing them. Pool was good and site right next to Lake Garda, near the beach and a couple of bars. We enjoyed a few days there."

"The hotel is located in the heart of the old town. The charming building has well appointed rooms - nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable. The staff were kind and helpful. We were traveling by car and they helped us with instructions for parking and getting the shuttle to and from the hotel. The breakfast was served in the restaurant nearby and was excellent. We would definitely stay there again."
