"Lovely location of the hotel which is on a small island surrounded by the Nile river. A ferry is available 24/7 every 30 minutes. The hotel has multiple swimming pools and numerous restaurants. We ate at the Italian restaurant, excellent service. The hotel room we occupied was large with 2 double beds. "

"The place is on Elephantine island, you can only get there by ferry. The cost is minimal around $ .70 for a one way. The island is way quieter than the mainland. Make sure you are expected upon arrival, signage is limited."

"Likes: very clean, lots of amenities including microwave, staff is very helpful. View is spectacular! Dislikes: mediocre food, small bathroom and excessive water spills from shower onto bathroom floor. Its a 4.5 for me."

"Beautiful location with easy access to the ferry terminal. We were met by Gamal and brought across to the island on his boat. From the moment we met him Gamal went out of his way to ensure that we had everything we needed and more. We learnt much from him about the Nubian culture and people and we have great respect for him. We would lovee to return again. The next day we hired Gamals Felucca and spent a wonderful day and night sailing the Nile. Breakfast was delicious and there are great restaurants for the evening just next door to Ana-Ka too."
