"I was a little stressed about the no on-site parking, and that is a big challenge, but it's not a fault of the hotel. I suggest dropping your stuff off up as far as your car can go (hopefully you have someone to stay with it) then walking the 300 m or so to the hotel. You can pay them to do this but it's really just some ups and downs, so just wear footwear that isn't too slippery, arrive early (apparently last check in is at 8:30 pm but they accommodated us at 10:30 pm - but be sure to have a cell flash light to get there if you arrive after sundown as the last 50 m is in the dark otherwise).
Otherwise, the rooms are beautiful with great AC and it's on the furthest east side of the castle so you will have access to amazing sunrises in the morning. The breakfast is home cooked and made with love. We had a great time and really enjoyed the location."
"We stayed last year so it was nice to return. The staff are always so welcoming and the property is fantastic. Beautiful room with fabulous views and balcony. Close to town."
"Ellen the hotel manager was fantastic made us feel very welcome and at home. The beds very very comfortable and the view from our room was spectacular. Just a one minute walk to a great beach and restaurant. Would definitely stay again."
"I want to acknowledge Michaela at the concierge desk in particular. When we needed a boat for the day, she understood immediately that I required one fully protected from the glare, and she would not stop until she found it, entirely within our budget. She stayed a full extra hour working on this, with a genuine smile the whole time (still not sure how she managed both). She then walked us to the boat with water in hand, and was there to greet us again at the end of the day. That is not a job well done; that is care.
We left the Poseidon feeling we had been guests of people who genuinely wanted us to be happy. We will remember it, and Michaela, for a long time.
Highly, wholeheartedly recommended."
"A very quaint place to stay. Took us back in history. Generously had water, wine, juice, Soda and coffee/tea in our room. Also made excellent recommendations to venture through Old Monemvasia and what to do and where to eat. Very happy with Ardamis."
"Lovely hotel right across from the beach. We had the top floor room with a big balcony overlooking the beach. The welcome was very good, the man on reception gave us a map & lots of information.
The room was big and really clean. The shower 'cubicle ' was a bit basic with a shower head that didn't want to stay in place, but in general it was good."
