"This is a condo property that rents out rooms. We have stayed twice and the experience is not consistent. Stayed for work and no iron in the room. Texted to request and no response. Texting from the property is inconsistent with timing of check in/out. I paid super cheap so it’s ok but if you’re paying full price in season I would be concerned. Room is clean. Full kitchen. Nice hot tub. Great location. No road noise. If you want full service this isn’t the place. If you want a condo and don’t need support then this will work."

"Mountainside is a wonderful place to stay. They charge for parking (Expedia won't allow me to say how much parkig was) which is a pretty big ripoff since we had to park outside and not in the garage. This is a new money grab by Marriott so just be aware that the "deal" that it look like you are getting on Expedia is going to be more expensive beause of parking. They always used to offer free parking for one car and a fee for for an additional car which seemed totally reasonable to me. Aside from this, we love staying here and I do recommend it, but be aware of that extra charge."

"We booked 2 rooms on my Amex Platinum card for a weekend that was considered in between seasons (very low capacity). We checked in the evening on a Friday. The rooms were fine (small bathroom but ok). It isn't too late for dinner so we headed down to eat. There was no one to greet us or to seat us at a table and after a few minutes we just sat down. Finally the server came and asked us to order right away as the kitchen would close soon (it was only 8:45). The manager showed up and said they would comp a desert as we weren't greeted upon arrival. Actually, I really didn't want desert, the glass of wine would be better but then ok. The staff not being around was a theme the whole weekend. The thing that bothered me the most was the day we checked out. I had a late flight and requested an extra hour to check out (even just one of the rooms). The receptionist Katy explained that 'No it was not possible'. The place was virtually empty. That's the last time I will stay at Black Rock Mountain Resort!"

"Everything was fantastic! The room was cleaned every day. The staff was so friendly. The spa is closed actually the hot tub sorry for a couple of weeks, but the spa was fantastic and they have designer bags that they sell."

"The hotel is AMAZING! You don’t even have to leave the property. They have several restaurants (along with room service), a huge outdoor area with fireplaces, a pool with a few large hot tubs, many spaces to just relax in the lobby area with games… and they have an awesome spa! We went off season, but once it cools down, there will be skiing too! And most of all… the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Especially Christian! Thank you all so much! The only downside is if you’re traveling before winter of 2026, expect to see construction- but that was literally everywhere! Even on the roads. The Hyatt did a great job assigning rooms to guests on the other side of the hotel, so you barely even notice it. We REALLY appreciated that! Seriously, we could not be happier about choosing to stay there! "
