Beautiful view, trails nearby and the bed is comfortable. Loved the hottub. The only critique was there was only a tiny sink in the bathroom, making it difficult to clean kitchen utensils. Overall would highly recommend, we would definitely go back again.

Great property love the theme and the units are cute and very comfortable only issue I had was the people upstairs very noisy when they are walking around almost sounds like stomping woke me up a few times so be mindful other than that I would recommend Whale House

The view and bed were great! The very large room was clean and well decorated. The one major problem that we had with this establishment was their obsession with water conservation. There was a kitchen but no kitchen sink. The bathroom had the one and only sink which measured four by seven inches. There is a timer in the shower for five minutes for your shower. This would be plenty if the shower jet were stronger. This was a spot that I could see retreating to do a lengthy stay if there was a better way to clean the dishes and myself!

I stayed at Orca Room - A lovely room with a small kitchenette and a bathroom. There was nicely scented shower gel and shampoo. The location is very quiet, right on the water. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to bring earplugs, as the rooms are a bit noisy. I was prepared, so everything was fine. Thank you.

Lovely location, right on the East Coast Trail. Easy to find. Sauna was wonderful. Room was great - cooking facilities were nice to reduce eating out costs. Could hear people in adjacent rooms (just everyday noises, they were not being particularly noisy/partying).

We came in off our ECT hike and our first impressions of the property were awesome! We loved the wild flower garden and the cute little labeled doors added to the ambience. We stayed in the humpback suite and the hot tub was divine. The room was well sized, and the distance to the closest convenience store was perfect as was the great on site BBQ and utensils. The bathroom was decent... there was some mildew in the caulking of the shower and some hair from the last guest. Be careful on the shower! Im not sure if it was the cleaner that was used but it was so slippery we had to brace ourselves in order to stay standing. We were happy to be off trail and enjoying the Gull calls until the chorus of stomping started followed by moving of furniture upstairs. Literally non stop until about 10pm and then started again around 5 am. Which is too bad as I was really hoping to finally sleep in! While the property was cute and quaint and I understand the vision I for one would choose somewhere else to stay if you are looking to relax and get some sleep!

Not what we expected but not a lot of options in the area. Property has 4 suites and I think we had the smallest of them. There is no staff on site, you get an access code via text the day before. Door was a little confusing but we eventually figured it out but it was awkward to use during our stay. Each suite comes with a hot tub, which is the selling point and while we did use it, it wasn't the reason for our booking. One more weird item is that guests are asked to not flush toilet paper and use the provided trash can for used TP and to limit showers to under 5 minutes. The suite we had also did not come with a TV but it did have a tablet connected to the internet. We generally stay in hotels/motels, this was the first time we used this type of property as there were no motels in the area. While it was OK I don't think I would book it again.

Hot tub was good. Not powerful enough for me tho lol didnt seem like the jets were strong. Next time we'll do the bigger suit for the bigger hot tub. Personally i likes to have a tv in the room cuz the little google screens are so tiny. Its just how i like to relax is all. The hostess was AMAZING!!! She chatted with us like shes known us for yrs!! Very sweet friendly lady. Id recommend the whale house guest house to allmy friend's and family. We're looking forward to returning there another yr.
