The hotel was beautiful on its own, and was in a perfect spot to enjoy nature!
The entire grounds were spotless, and on more than one occasion we saw workers sweeping even the road outside the hotel.
The staff were quite friendly and helpful (even when we couldn't communicate easily because of language).
Our room was a traditional Japanese-type, so there were futon beds placed directly on the tatami floor, and the bathroom is also Japanese style. If you're comfortable going nude, the communal...

This was our favorite stop of our two weeks in Japan. Staff were kind and helpful. The onsen was amazing. Food and drinks were great. Really nice stay here!

Off all the chain hotels we stayed in in Japan, this is our favorite, so much so that we plan to look for Daiwa hotels now when we book for future trips. Nice big lobby, bilingual staff, easy check in/out with automation, nice rooms, modern and larger bathroom. Everything seemed upgrade level. Definitely enjoyed staying there and it was near the station with lots of eateries to choose from.

The hotel was conveniently located close to the station. The room was comfortable and seemed to be nicely updated recently. A lot of options for restaurants nearby too.

Great location near the train station and good restaurants, hot breakfast, public bath and pajamas to wear around the hotel. The Route Inn was everything we needed for our visit to Morioka.

Bed was very comfortable. Didn’t care for the shared showers (dorm style) set up; however, shower pressure was excellent! Suggest installing a towel bar/rack in bathroom to hang the hand towel and a full length mirror in room.
