The cottage was comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean and while it was quite compact it was fine for two people. The hosts Dave & Michelle were friendly and helpful. The cottage has a pleasant rural position and is ideally located for exploring Exmoor. We would definitely come again.

Great stay
Great location and great accommodation. Perfect spot if you have a dog with a dedicated garden space and walks close by. Myself and my dog loved our stay.

Very peaceful, quiet setting, just what we wanted. The cottage was spacious, clean, and well equipped. Both bedrooms were lovely. The owners responded to emails quickly and were very helpful with whatever we needed. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Relaxing stay in beautiful location
Very pleasant stay. Quiet and relaxing spot, nestled in the middle of Exmoor. Exford is a lovely village and provides (relatively, for rural Devon!) easy access to various local attractions.
The building itself is fairly typical of this type of property. If you're looking for luxury look elsewhere, but if you want functional and quaintness then this is an excellent choice.
Dave, our host, was very welcoming and offered help when we required it.
Parking was really useful and kitchen was well equipped. Shared bathroom is small but, again, functional and is fine for a family (of 4, in our case).
Only minor criticisms - none of which really bothered us - are the enormously creaky floorboards, noisy boiler and thin walls to the property next door. But all these are the sort of things you expect from an old building such as this.
