"The Waverley has everything you want for a short stay, rooms are clean and fresh, shower room is ensuite and modern and there is plenty of tea & coffee (and biscuits) in the room. In the room we stayed in there was a large wardrobe and drawer chest. Bed was new and firm. Breakfast has a good range of options including cooked and continental"

"Our 2nd stay . The general condition of the hotel is in need of tlc, but we really enjoyed our stay , bed comfy ,room spacious . Food very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Not far to walk to the beach ."

"Lovely room with sea view. Large comfortable bed and a good selection of tea and coffee. An excellent full English for breakfast - probably one of the best we’ve ever had! Only one small negative - really cheap and flimsy loo roll! Will definitely stay again."

"Went for a weekend away in Exmoor and The Culbone was a fantastic base for the weekend. The hotel is in a fantastic location with great views from the rooms and the dining room/ patio area. The food was fantastic quality and well worth the price, excellent value! The room was very comfortable and had an excellent night's sleep. The facilities in the room were very good with a range of teas available. Best night's sleep I've had in a hotel for a long time. Am looking forward to going back again...

"The bedroom was a beautiful room but a bit tired but it seems the rooms are being updated,the en suite had been already.What makes The Old Ship Aground stand out head and shoulders are the staff,every single member of staff was delightful,they were happy and took an interest in each guest,never experienced it anywhere before.
