"Probably the best place to stay in Kagoshima. Room, view and on-site onsen. Food options in the hotel were upscale in quality and price (expensive) but there were many other more reasonable options close enough, including a grocery store."

"Fantastic site next to the main train station, with a lovely helpful staff and an elegantly styled building. The historic tram runs right in front, as do all the regional and local trains and busses from the station. That said, it was quiet and serene. Reserve a room with a view of the volcano, you will not be disappointed."

"This hotel is in the Tenmonken area of Kagoshima. It was a great area to use public transportation for our adventures. We bought a 2 day CUTE Pass from the Tourist Information Center in CenTerrace shopping area. We were able to use it on the Kagoshima City Bus, the Kagoshima City View Bus, the ferry to Sakurajima, the Island View Bus on Sakurajima, and the trams in Kagoshima. Great deal! The hotel was perfectly situated and very comfortable. "

"This hotel was convenient to the train station and fine for a short stay. The rooms have not been updated recently and the furniture and carpets show their age. The bathroom is tiny and two persons will have to take turns using it. However, the rooms are very clean, as is the lobby and reception area. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially with our inability to speak Japanese. "
