"Needlessly complicated check in process - why did I have to supply my ID? There is no UK legal requirement for this and most places don't do it. The booking app has my details if anything goes wrong. My room (6) was in a dark lower basement, not listed as such. I asked for upstairs room which was available but it did not have a cooking stove. "I needed to be in Plymouth for an event. While it’s only 17 miles away, I was so busy that day, and the day after I booked a hotel in town. When I saw a Moxy had opened I had to stay there. I was not disappointed. It’s in what I would call a developing part of the city. The parking (paid) provided by the hotel is a little small. However over the road is a large paid car park. The hotel itself has all the laid back, chilled vibe that you’d want and expect from a Moxy. It’s perfect for most kinds of get aways, regardless of your tribe. Best of all, the bed will wrap you up and send you into a perfect nights rest. Equivalent to a week in my old bed. I usually go budget and stay “Travelodge” or “Premier”. I’d now say push the boat out and upgrade. Enjoy. "

"We had a lovely time here and would recommend. We had a one bed apartment for our family of 4 (3 and 5 year old) which was absolutely fine. The kitchen was well equipped and had a supermarket delivery which was super easy. Our only problem with the apartment is the shower was basically just a trickle! The grounds are lovely, the kids loved the peacocks and ducks! The play park was also really well looked after. They also loved flying down the hills on their scooters. The facilities are also lovely, especially the pool which is heated. There's also evening entertainment in the games room/bar. We all loved the magic show."

"We stayed in one of the deluxe rooms, which was spacious and comfortable. We had to issues, the shower when put on a full spray only trickled out but on a fine nozzle was ok. The other was we had a blanket in our room to put at the bottom of the bed, but I had to get to changed as it smelt very strongly of dogs. We ate in the restaurant which was good but the food choice off the Thats menu was quite limited. Staff were all very friendly and helpful."
