"I have stayed in many bed and breakfast hotels across Europe and Italy. This is by far the best I have ever stayed. The location is not super fantastic. It’s next to a main road but we can’t hear anything in the room. The room is simple but super super clean and well maintained. Comes with very clean toilet and shower. Mini fridge. Our window looks out to groves of olive tree. Highly recommended!"

"Stayed here for one night. Grounds are very pretty and hotel is based on the side of quite a steep hill so quite a lot of stairs and ramps. There are some lifts to parts of property but not all and they are in odd locations, for example one led to a pitch black banquet hall that you needed to pass through. "In the off season the hotel isn’t staffed full time but the communication by WhatsApp was fabulous. I have never seen a 10:30 am check out, I thought that was a bit early. The room was clean but tiny but the bed was comfortable and climate control easy to use. The bathroom door was too long for the floor making it hard to close so we left it open but not great for anyone wanting privacy. Tv was great and we could use our own Netflix at night. Parking was easy underground with a code. I would have given more stars if more amenities and a noon check out. Breakfast was good but cold in a glassed in atrium, it’s probably beautiful in summer but it was cold, there were two heaters on but it was January and brrr. Very cute and clean spot just a little small, too early to rush out and a bit cold for breakfast. "

"The hotel & staff exceeded our expectations at Sui Generis! We absolutely loved that it was boutique and intimate yet with a luxury feel. The breakfast every morning was amazing and the room was very spacious! The two cleanings a day was such a treat. The hotel will also provide you pool & beach towels to use which was very nice. It is also just a 5-6 minute walk to the lively city centre. I would highly recommend them for any visit to Tropea, we would definitely stay here again :)"
