Really nice hotel staff, but rooms could have been better kept. Linens were clean but there were ants all over the room. The shower doors did not fully close and the water flooded right out creating a pool in the bathroom.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The interior was beautiful- like a film set. The room was a bit small but the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. One minor niggle - no English language TV stations. Otherwise, excellent.

Older but good.

It is small and older, but comfortable. In the single room at least the toilet is in a very small space, but it was manageable. The beds are firm, and pillows hard but it worked. It was clean and the staff was very nice which made up for any shortfalls.

Air conditioning was seasonally off but the very kind desk staff tried to override the system for us. Unfortunately our rooms system could not be turned on but the staff opened a small adjacent single room that had a/c. Leaving the door open between the two rooms helped a little. The hotel is in need of bathroom upgrades, but was kept clean. The breakfast buffet was good though the service in the room seemed somewhat chaotic. We had to ask twice for coffee with milk - when it arrived with no milk we asked 2 more times, eventually just using the cereal milk on the buffet. Items such as eggs were not being replenished so a few of our party had a true "continental breakfast". While these are only minor anoyances , the hotel does rate itself as, and charge for 4 star amenities. I'm sure it was just a few bad coincidences, and once again, the front desk team were fantastic.

The staff is what really makes this hotel truly exceptional. Feels like a family-run hotel. Warm, friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They all speak English. There is a lower level free breakfast bistro from 7am to 11am. The rooms are spotless. Public transportation is nearby - you don’t need to stay right next to the Duomo. The Tricolore metro station is a 5 minute walk and several surface trams also go right past the hotel. One tip for taller/larger guests is to spend a few extra dollars and select a “superior room” for more breathing space and a larger bathroom. If you want a supportive Italian hotel team during your trip to Milan, pick this hotel.
