The smell in the room was the biggest issue - it reeked of rose incense or something of that nature. We had to keep the window open for the duration of our stay to try and air out the room. The sheets were quite scratchy. There were scuffs and dents on the walls. And finally the walls were so thin we could hear the guest in the next room snoring throughout the night. It's a good location as it's by the San Siro - we flew in for the game. But it was at best a very passable stay.

Dear Julia,we are sorry for falling short on your expectations. If you had asked us not to spray parfume we wouldn't do it. As per the walls with dents and scuffs that is due to the high occupancy we have every year. Periodically we intervene in order to fix the damaged parts, however having the 95% of occupancy results in that. Nothing that can really harm the sight though. The way you described it makes think a white shark had stayed before you. We' re glad to know that at least you have appreciated our location.Best regards.

I don't understand why this is 4-star hotel
The location was good, near a supermarket and a subway station. but I never had this experience the hot water was stopped during the shower in any hotels or accommodations but here. Hot water was coming out at first, and it stopped in 10 minutes. When I told this to the staff, they didn't take it seriously they said they didn't know how long I take showers even though I told them it was 10 minutes. Staff responded but I don't feel they showed sorry to me but excuses. Due to this issue, I had to change the room for each night. And a staff suggested reducing my shower time. He said he was joking after seeing my frozen face but it was not adequate at all. They offered me just a free breakfast only for a day. The thing is I didn't feel comfortable with the attitude when they dealt with this problem. I understand this is not their fault but they never said sorry for this inconvenience and it felt weird. I wouldn't feel this bad if they showed sorry and didn't take this as a joke. so shame.

We had the chance to investigate on the attitude of our employe who has understood that jokes, although made with all due respects, are totally out of place. Fantastic stay, staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Rooms were spotless, breakfast was as described. Very handy for Metro in to centre and Citylife, and walkable to San Siro. Will definitely come back next time we’re in Milan

Good value in expensive Milan
I'm not sure who awarded 4 stars, maybe 3 tops.anyway the rooms are well equipped and the area is ideal for a trip to the san siro.metro stop lotto right outside in a residential area with supermarket and McDonald's and not much else,if you aren't going to the football you might want to stay nearer the centre.

The hotel description explains that rooms are equips with air conditioning, however this is not the case all year round. I found out on arrival that the hotel are unable to switch on air conditioning throughout the country until May. The reception staff where helpful, and I did get a written apology from the hotel, but this did somewhat ruin our stay especially as I was travelling with a child. Metro is a 2 min walk away. Lots of places to eat locally.

What you write is correct, hotels can't turn on A/C till May 1st, likewise can't turn on heating till October 15th. During your stay we had unprecedent temperatures for March and the aftermath was a higher perception of warm in the rooms ( but this only in the day time as in the night temperatures were as low as 6 or 7 degrees ). It was upsetting on the flexibility of the staff and management. I wanted to bring my 13 year old son on this trip but they would not allow accommodations for a 3rd person and in turn refused to refund anything even a portion to make accommodations elsewhere. I ended having to get a room at another hotel so my family could stay together while paying for this one. Very disappointing and will never book here again. I make trips to Europe frequently for business and Italy is one of these locations.

Dear James,you made a reservation for a double room for 2 people for 5 days. You arrived at the hotel in 3 people. You didn't even ask us in advance if that was possible and also pretended that your family was staying in another hotel when we asked you why 3 people arrived. You wonder why there was no flexibility by our side. The answer is that it is not possible flexible since we do not have rooms to accomodate 3 people. Moreover, since you booked a room for 2 people and came in 3 we are wondering who the one who acted unfairly was. We also believe that there are no hotel in the world that would turn an eye blind and let you stay in 3 people free of charge if a double room is booked. About the refund the reason for which we didn't agree is because we were not the ones that didn't respect the terms of the reservation.For the future we suggest you to be clear and state the exact number of people you are traveling with and book the right room accordingly.Best regards.Hotel Oro Blu Milano.

Great, too bad for the breakfast menu!
Very clean rooms and friendly staff. They let me borrow a socket adapter for 2 days :) Too bad for the breakfast offer. The croissants are average at best.

The staff was friendly and the bed was really comfortable. What I did not like was the layout of the bathroom. Everything was too crammed. Also the internet would keep cutting out.

The hotel was close to Metro and had a decent continental breakfast. The area the hotel was in was a little out of the city and area was not too clean. The hotel was fine, bed was a little hard, polite staff.

Good hotel, very clean, good service. Poor breakfast. It seemed more like tea time with sweet croissants, white bread and only cooked eggs. Excellent location, close to metro where we could be in the heart of Milan in a few minutes. Direct bus to Malpensa

Nice hotel
Overall, pretty good hotel. The room is not very modern, but plenty of space for three people. The walls are really, really thin. I could hear people in the room next door just having a simple conversation. Bathroom, especially the shower, is very cramped. There's almost no space to move around in the shower. The breakfast included was nice. Had the usual coffee, pastries, cereal, etc..even eggs. All self serve, buffet style. There's not a whole lot to do in the area, but it's right next to the metro, which was very convenient. There are also a few restaurants nearby if you're just looking for a quick meal. Staff was friendly. Good place to stay at to explore Milan.

Easy and clean hotel.
Room was spacious and comfortable. The location was very close to Metro and Malpensa Shuttle. But, this area of Milan is not the prettiest. Reminds me of a cross between Milwaukee and Manhatten. Parking might be a challenge if you’re driving. We would stay here again.

Indeed close to everything
The hotel is indeed close to everything because it is close to the metro station Lotto, a supermarkt, Mc donalds and a restaurant. We arrived at Lampugnano bus station and it is only 2 metro stops away. The room is spacious but very basic interior. The problem in ours was the noise from the busy street and we could hear the lady neighbor who was on the phone. The room also had a distinct cigarette smell. We stayed for a night and it was fine. The breakfast was enough and we like that they could hold our luggage.

Ideal location for the San Siro Stadium
Myself and friend went to A C Milan v Juventus game.....hotel was a 15 minute walk to stadium....really ideal.Staff at hotel could not have been more friendly or helpful.Metro station a mere 150 yards from hotel...again perfect for exploring Milan.
