"It is a nice hotel even though the entrance way is ugly. The staff are very pleasant, especially the gentleman who checked us in and served us breakfast. We didn't get the same warmth from the owner. The 'free toiletries' was a small bar of soap but this seems to be the case in a lot of the cheaper hotels. We stayed in the deluxe double room which while nice, wasn't deluxe. The bathroom window also backed onto to an area where bottles were discarded and it was easy for someone to see in. The...

"We stayed for 2 nights, and we both thought that the food and the public areas were amazing. We also booked the yoga classes which were great. The bungalows are very cool, they are open, so you get a pretty unique experience. The beds are a bit on the hard side, this should be improved."

"We chose this hotel over others because it seemed to be in a good location and advertised that it had an outdoor pool. However, on arrival we discovered that it doesn't have a pool - they just kept referring to a 'natural swimming area' i.e. the sea. It's also quite a run down and generally depressing place. We ended up cancelling 2 of our 3 nights and moving to another hotel first thing in the morning. I can't say much about the location as we didn't stay long enough to explore it."

"We stayed a night in September 2025 at the Happy Banana Hotel in Galle (Unawatuna), Sri Lanka. Due to plumbing works, water supply was off for a while. However, the living was homely, night music and people’s crowd was entertaining, and breakfast at the beach was astounding."
