「It's a very nice looking hotel that just needs a little more attention to detail. I reported missing items from oyr room, but they weren't replaced. I had a window that wouldn't close, but received no help or offer to change room. My room door had a gap that you could pass 4 credit cards through, but again no response despite the security risk. Otherwise, a lovely stay.」

「Friendly staff and clean, spacious room. Not easy to walk there from the rail station. However, One can get there easily through a steel bridge (which was not shown in the map) linking it to the Freeman’s Quoy Centre at the Peninsula, near the Premier Inn Durham. Good and reasonably priced dinner.」

「Nice hotel with good facilities. Excellent spa and gym. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was buffet with some options to order from the kitchen. Everything was freshly cooked and warm with plenty of staff to attend tables. We used as a base to travel into Durham. Used park and ride which is only 5 mins on the bus and costs £2.20 return - much easier than the hassle of driving into a city centre at the weekend and trying to find a car park. I would definitely use the hotel again.」
