The HMAS Sydney II Memorial in Geraldton WA. Geraldton is a coastal city in Western Australia, located 424 kilometres north of Perth. The memorial recognises the loss of the World War II cruiser HMAS Sydney and is located on top of a small hill overlooking Geraldton. 645 people aboard the HMAS Sydney II died and so the dome is made up of 645 stainless steel seagulls.
