This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The main issue was staff and coordination, which was completely unacceptable. After finally being allowed into the room, later that same night staff knocked on my door and told me I still needed to complete check-in, as if they had no idea I was already inside the room. This happened late at night, on my wedding night, which made the situation even more frustrating and inappropriate. When I went downstairs to clarify what was going on, I was suddenly told I had to pay a $500 deposit that was never mentioned at any point during the booking process. This deposit was completely unexpected and far higher than the value of the stay. No one could properly explain why it wasn’t disclosed beforehand. Due to the lack of communication, poor coordination, and the way the situation was handled, I felt uncomfortable and disappointed and decided to leave the property altogether. This stay showed a serious lack of organization and professionalism. I would not recommend this property to anyone looking for a stress-free or respectful experience.

Getting to the building is tough because it’s right next to the drawbridge. Traffic backs up pretty often throughout the day. Book extra time to get in and out. The lobby elevators were being upgraded so half of them were out of commission. The space was dusty with plastic tarps up across half the elevator lobby. The room was fine. One thing I didn’t appreciate was the bathroom is connected between the two rooms. It’s big - Almost too big. The bed I had was very comfortable. There could be more plugs in the room near the bed/nightstand.

The room had several issues which we called several times to try to remedy. The one toilet seat was broken during the entire stay, the kettle and perculator were filthy with foul smells and several sediments that came off when passing your finger from inside of the kettle, same for the water container of the coffee perculator. The management kept on "sweet talking" about how they understand and they are sorry to hear about the experience etc etc and that a maintainance team would be scheduled shortly, however everyday was the same story despite multiple calls and complaints and after 3 days we gave up on trying and no on ever reached back out after that. The microwave was also broken from the start and they were never able to rectify this either. Completely poor customer service. We travelled with a 5 year old son as this was the only accomodation we could find downtown with 2 bedrooms but would strongly advise considering a more established hotel chain further up north unless your ok roughing it in the event something isn't to your liking. The place was not bad otherwise. Tiled floors and decent bathrooms, comfortable bedding. The building is undergoing some construction so the elevator situation is a bit of a mess on the weekend, took us over 15 minutes to get a lift that wasnt packed with people leaving/ going to the pool etc because 3 out of the 6 lifts were out of order.

My experience in this apartment was awful. As soon as I arrived, there was a very strong smell of marijuana in the room, which made it impossible to stay. I’m 8 months pregnant, and this situation was completely unacceptable and unsafe for me. The host didn’t respond to any of my messages or calls, and there was zero communication or assistance. I had to leave the apartment immediately. Extremely disappointing and not recommended at all!

Wouldn’t book again with this company. They charged us deposit out of which when they returned it one week later they cut money for towels with sand and not doing the beds and they accused us of taking cleaning supplies which is ridiculous. The property is also worn out, the ceilings in the bathroom are peeling and the showers are leaking water everywhere. Wouldn’t book again. Book with caution. Parking is expensive as well!
