Great location for events at the convention center. Could defiantly use a deep clean and also an upgrade. I would not recommend for more then 2 people.

First the good. 1- the location is very nice, near the beach and is generally walkable and convenient. 2- the apartment was clean, functional and furnished to meet our needs as a family of three. The building is a beautiful older art deco building. 3 - we had a successful vacation and overall had a great time despite the issues i will describe below. The bad- 1 - the apartment is in need of a serious update and it was confusing to us why the owners would not make minor repairs to their investment. For example, there was water damage on the floors and oddly uneven tile in the bathroom. A loose door on the in-unit laundry was not installed correctly and fell on my three year old daughter. Additionally there was weird damage on the front door from what we could only imagine was when a previous tenant was evicted by the sheriff. 2- the hosts or managers we're absolutely non communicative and the phones number they provided did not work. It was confusing to us why the property mangers would not make themselves available or otherwise able to be reached. I shudder to think what would have happened if our young family was locked out ir there was an emergency. Summary - Its a clean apartment that is functional and private in a beautiful building in a wonderful city. However, the owners could make the experience better for guests by maintaining it better and being communicative. Overall we had a wonderful vacation but would not stay here again.

Has Potential but a mess...

This apartment is in rough shape. The bathroom is a mess in desperate need of some TLC. Water leaking on the floor coming from a closet, dingy trim. Drapes don't close completely because the curtain rod holders are poorly mounted. They hit the floor with any adjustment. Floor was dirty. Walls were patch painted like an attempt to hide things. This place has potential but seems like someone who knows little about upkeep was trying. Amenities are there, but not sure how they found such cheap stuff, paper towels, tp, etc. For $5 more would have been a big improvement. This place is begging for a weekend of DIY repairs and a few hundred bucks. Even the furniture layout makes no sense. No working TV, but doesn't matter because no furniture faces the TV. We really wanted to stay an extra day and fix the place up. It wouldn't take that much...although the bathroom needs significant attention. Great location.

My stay at this property was mostly good but there was one major problem. The apartment next door must have had a smoker in it because there was very noticeable second hand smoke in my apartment. I think it was coming in through the bathroom vent. Once I finally figured this out I found that leaving the bathroom vent fan on all the time cleared my apartment of the smoke. However I was experiencing sinus problems throughout my stay and the second hand smoke was definitely irritating and worsening my symptoms. The only other issues I had with the apartment were minor: there was a dishwasher but no detergent; there was a clothes washer and dryer but no detergent for it. I was cooking meals there but there were no sharp knives in the kitchen. Without the second hand smoke issue i would have given this property an excellent rating.
