It was like staying at home. Quiet, safe neighborhood, very professional and outstanding. Service from all staff. The owner was on site. We stayed up late at night on the porch and having a great time with great wine. My sons join me and it was absolutely fantastic. I want to upload pictures, but I don’t know how. I’ll be back next week.
As a solo traveler, it was minorly confusing on how to get into the property, but once inside it was very straightforward! The room was quite nice, comfortable, and clean. The breakfasts options were limited but good though it is important to note that the kitchen is a shared space.
Otherwise the property was lovely! There's a cat named Scar who is well loved and a sweetheart, it was nice having him be able to hangout in the rooms! Located in a very safe and quiet, and BEAUTIFUL neighborhood with lovely restaurants and convenient shops all around. I would absolutely recommend!
Outstanding area; so green and cozy and authentic. Great, welcoming host. Lots of recommendations for dining. Cobblestone streets and flowers. One of the beast neighborhoods we ve seen in the city.
Great location in the beautiful San Angel area. Lovely comfortable room and a lovely roof terrace to enjoy a morning coffee. Lots of great places to eat and drink nearby and very nice neighbourhood to take a stroll. Highly recommended. I stayed in the "Roof" room which was lovely and very quiet.
I enjoyed very much staying at the Terrazas as its owners create a unique, friendly and welcoming atmosphere for their guests. Also, of course, San Angel is one of the nicest places to be in Mexico City and for me it was also a great base to reach all my working commitments and project partners, as I was here mainly for work.
A wonderful location in a lovely neighbourhood, with plenty of great places to eat and drink. A very nice neighbourhood to walk around and has a lovely atmosphere. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and the roof terrace is a great place to start your day with a coffee. Rooms are basic but clean and overall this offers very good value for money. Would highly recommend.
The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The walls and bathroom fixtures were stained due to age and use.
The location is great if you don't have to be close to the center of the city, located in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods full of colonial homes, expensive restaurants and shops. There are also plenty of street food vendors, neighborhood (cheap) restaurants, market and even a wonderful flower market. The National University campus, with its iconic murals, is within walking distance and so is the main street that traverses the city from North to South (Insurgentes).
The owner and manager of the building are approachable and informative. They allowed us to use the terrace until late in the afternoon while we waited for a suitable time to go to the airport.
The only objection I have is that they refused to allow parking our motorcycles in the property even though their Expedia add states it is available and there were 2 motorbikes using the space (there was enough space for at least 2 more).
I felt uncomfortable and without privacy, the host kept using the terrace even with his guests so there was practically no option to use it, there was a lot of noise in the loft and also they only have 2 parking spaces for which they charge you 100 pesos the day and it is annoying to depend on others to move your car to get in or out, the truth is it was not a good experience, I do not recommend it and of course I would not return to that place.
