Excellent hotel for the price
My stay was excellent, daily housekeeping very clean, good water pressure, pleasant atmosphere and neighborhood within walking distance to the trolley bus and the city center, nice restaurants near by. I will definitely be staying again in my next stay in Mexico City.

Property and location well centralized for visiting historical sites, transportation to metro within walking distance, and restaurant in hotel and within walking distance. My reservation price was not accepted, I had to pay extra or higher price. Need an additional step to review the reservation before final approval

You get a Room. But no one knows English and it is hard to communicate. there are no tissues or any other consumables. Room does not have enough ventilation and it is darker even after opening all windows and having lights.

Best of the Capital O group so far
I would return to El Senador, the good outweighed the bad. This is the second hotel in a row I was assigned room 207. Good: WiFi. Finally!!! It stayed connected most of the time. I only had to login once. Moderate to good signal strength -easy to find -Nice lobby with couches -very large room -lots of counter space -firm pillows -Very little street noise in this room, except for the person who honked eight times in the huge garage at 3 AM -close walk to Mercado Hidalgo Moderate -The neighborhood is not considered safe by many. Even my Uber driver warned me to be very careful at night. I have spent several stays in Doctores, and I have never felt unsafe. -towels were not good (or bad). Frayed and dense. And they had a different hotel logo on them, LOL -free bottled water -free toiletries were unmarked and I think I washed my hair with hand cream. Bad: -I arrived to a room with no toilet paper -there was only one hanger in the closet -no drawers -plastic bedspread. Seriously! -terrible electrics. While there were light switches above the middle of the bed, there was no electric outlet within 4 meters of the headboard. This means you can’t plug in your phone or laptop and work in bed unless you bring an extension cord (which I do bring now). The quality of the lights and placement it’s not conducive to reading at night anywhere in the room. -backachingly hard bed. -2 Nights and I still don’t know which shower knob turns on the hot water

Nice stay on The Senador Hotel
The hotel look very nice , clean and the room was very comfortable and decorated with a modern style, the people is ver nice from the lobby to the housekeeper and in the restaurant, I have a very good experience and If you visit Mexico and look for a Nice hotel to stay I recommend El senador.

The bed was hard. I could hear people singing and having sex till 2am; I think it was a love hotel. There were people outside the hotel who blared their music till midnight. The room had one plug far away from bed. There was one in the bathroom and I had to charge my laptop in the bathroom and my phone in the room. The molding (where the wall and floor meet) was stripped giving the room a dirty feel. This is a "you get whay you pay for" type place. The pictures are a bit deceptive ao if you're picky in the slightest stay away. I've done peace corps and have lived in places like this but wouldn't recommend it.

Worst Hotel in Mexico City
This is the worst hotel that i have ever seen in my life. My experience with this hotel is worst.Do not get tempted by seeing the photos. just stayed for one hour and then made the check out. The hotel is very terrible. It does not have air condition nor atleast a fan. The day that i have made check in is very hot day, i requested a fan because the room seems to be like a boiler and the staff refused to get me one. The room and bathroom was not clean. If you open windows the flies will be part of your room.Just avoid booking this hotel.

I stayed there for 28 days and had a great time . The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly I'm returning next month to stay for another 28 days. Hugo was very helpful and a pleasure to be around, he was a hard working employee and i saw him all the time throughout my stay.

The hotel was easy enough to find and had a great big lobby and a secured parking facility. They have an elevator but it's tiny. But it beats carrying bags up to the 4th floor on the stairs. The shower takes a LONG time to get any hot water. There was no bar soap. Had to ask for towels for the room. After the first night housekeeping took all the towels except one. There is no air conditioning or fan. Even asked the front desk. The windows barely open and the noise outside is so loud that it is hard to sleep with the window open. There were burn holes in the blanket. No remote for the TV. The room looked nothing like the photos.

There was nothing unique about the property. It did not qualify as a three star hotel. The property had roaches which is why I checked out after only one night stay even though I had paid a non-refundable rate for 8 nights.

Basic needs covered!
The check in clerk only spoke spanish. I used my phone as a translator to communicate. The location was good. I walked 2km to walmart. Laundry service was across the street. A restaurant was on site with an attentive staff. There was no air condition, but it was not necessary.

Pleasantly surprised
Everything was fantastic. We were concerned at first because there was no air conditioning, but the room remained surprisingly cool and amenable throughout our stay. The price very reasonable. Pleasantly surprised at the level of service and attention to detail for the price point!

I highly recommend this place if you want to stay away from downtown. It is close to anywhere to visit. But bring a long electrical cable extension to have power at your beds. And no one comes out to greet you as the five starts hotels. The great think I got a complementary water bottle. Very clean service.
