Small windows to open and NO AIR CONDITIONING. It was VERY hot and no air flow. The night was stifling and nearly wanted to checkout on our first night and go elsewhere. Paid a 200 peso ($12) deposit to borrow a fan. It helped but don’t sleep here if air conditioning is a necessity.

Easy to go to the historic centre by foot, and very easy to go anywhere by underground or other type of transportation. Property very nosy as some rooms were renter for a few hours by professional ladies, all over day and night !

The property is conveniently located close to metro stations/bus stops. It has a small restaurant but many others within walking distance. For the rate I paid it was great! But be aware with such low cost, you pay what you get. The beds are a bit dated as are the blankets and sheets. The walls are very thin so EVERYTHING can be heard specially if you’re located facing inward which puts you in an odd location facing the other tenants. That being said, the front office and cleaning ladies are extremely friendly and helpful. If you are on a budget, this is your place.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times now. Its close enough to all the sites and is a good price for what it is. The rooms are always clean. The only thing ive never really liked is the bed. Its very firm. But if thats what you like then youll love it lol.

Great budget option
Very nice for the price and proximity to Bellas Artes and other attractions. Especially if you have car to park. Bed not that comfortable, and no A/C at least in the room I had. But overall, well maintained and nice.

Is good located but is too small It doesn’t have a gym Is clean but small bath and room Is good for a couple of days only not for many days You have to travel far for atracciones.

Slow wi-fi, but everything else was great.
Great service, clean and comfortable rooms, veeerrryyy slow wi-fi. Interesting, authentic neighborhood off the tourist map.

Excellent place, especially considering the price. It isn't in a touristy area, but it is close to a few large mercados where you can find anything and really get into the culture. Service was top-notch, and the hotel was very clean. The only drawback we found was dial-up slow internet speeds on a spotty wi-fi network.

No frill close to transportation
Good low cost option close to metro station and buses. Less than 1/2 mile to shopping and Walmart. No frills, comfortable bed. Cleaning services do not operate on American time, but sufficient.

Not in a great area
The room had everything we really needed (bed, bathroom, shower). However it only had two outlets, one being in the bathroom. The WiFi was also nonexistent which was a frustrating for traveling without a cell service plan. The cleaning staff was very, very nice. The hotel is located on a larger road, but not in the best area. We felt safe during the day, but cautious at night. We also had pre-booked a room with two beds and was told at check in they didn’t have any more even though we paid extra for it. Overall quality 3/5 stars.

bed bugs and this is a hook up hotel.
terrible it is in a bad neighborhood and you can't walk around in this area at night. unless you know the area do not book this hotel.

Dangerous Neighborhood
This is a tough one ... the hotel itself was perfectly nice. Up until my last morning there, my only complaint would have been that the hotel was a bit noisy due to its location and less than ideal insulation. The hotel was clean, had a very comfortable bed, a good shower, and was very convenient to the subway and metrobus. However, the final morning there, my boyfriend and I were awoken by the sound of many, many gunshots nearby. While this didn't sound like a gun battle--more like someone just firing a gun repeatedly at length--it was very unnerving, and needless to say caused us to cancel our plan to take the subway to the airport, as we had no intention of going out in the street. The person working at the front desk kindly called us a cab, which we were able to enter from the hotel's garage and so didn't need to go outside. I feel a bit bad dinging the hotel for something that's so obviously not their fault, but at the same time, I feel like other travelers will want to know. I did look up the general safety of Mexico City neighborhoods before booking the hotel, and this neighborhood was not mentioned as being any less safe than others.

Wonderful Hotel!
I had a pleasant stay to say the least. After getting over the gaudy outside appearance of the hotel and neighborhood, I was surprised to see a welcoming inside and warm reception. It appears the hotel was recently renovated. All is new and modern. The decor is amazing. The rooms are cozy and well maintained. The staff was wonderful! Compared to other hotels I have stayed in Mexico city, Hotel Dharma exceeded my expectations. It is close to everything...Buena Vista Mall is two blocks away as well as the Metro. Great value!

I booked this hotel last minute and I got a special rate by using mobile app. What u get is what u pay. Cozy room, close to metro, convenient store nearby and close to the historical area;)

Lots of potential, needs to improve service.
Weak Wi-fi, slow water stream for shower heads, no iron, no coffee or tea in the room. Loud hallway echoes. Only has 1 key per room and 2 hangers in the closet for 2 occupants. Awesome cleaning lady. Our beds and rooms were always kept clean. Lotion, Soap and shampoo were in abundance. Bottled water was provided. Space was adequate. Closet space was adequate.
